Look forward to tomorrow's close up shots in the meantime I feel for you alloys [:)]

ORIGINAL: rob.kellock So, gauntlet thrown down then? [:D][:D][:D] Hope it's not raining!
It maybe well be raining hard tomorrow but I know you can do it inside your garage if need be. Don't forget once those alloys are popping the bodywork would deserve a good polish for good measure [8D]

It gets my vote for today. I learned something new And yes, looking forward to more pics
More pics of the Spyder it is then
My eyes, my eyes! Delete that and don't post any more. I've put pictures of that monstrosity up before (maybe even on this thread but it's too long to check) and I've not felt right since!
Sorry Rob did not mean to upset you - this should put your weekend back on track - see http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/uploads/cars/porsche/2777407.jpg

No one can argue with that one[;)] Was a shame that car didn't come into the club fold. I don't think i've seen a red one in the metal, or blue.

Hi John Does this one tick the right boxes? Not a bad price for the mileage but they probably got it for a lot less at that milage. Just a thought, if there's holes in their warranty, you could try to haggle for the cost of getting a 2 year Porsche warranty on it (I think around £1500 for 2 years and £800+ for 1 year) or something towards it, so that you can add that on yourself afterwards if you so wished.

daro911, you are correct, although some other manufacturers use the Spider name for any convertible [&:] Like this Alfa, which incidentally I think Jaguar copied the rear for the F-type[:-] The Alfa would actually make the perfect daily driver for me to 'garage queen' the Porsche, but i've read that the roof is not a patch on ours for reliability and durability[&o]

Well I was the first one to see it the day after it came in (last Tuesday) Please bear in mind that car had only been washed and not valeted. The car has a good spec (the sort I'm looking for) But I did not get that warm feeling which I feel is essential - I want the hairs on my neck to stand up on my first encounter. I knew I was going to see a 25k miles car but was not aware it had three previous owners. Exterior Condition of car. Wheels need re furb and two new back tyres. Rear of the car needs paint as several chips on the back boot and lower spoiler area. Scuffs/chips on inner door sills and door edges where seat belts shut in door. Interior Condition of Car was grubby and seat belts looked almost brown rather than red. We were now feeling a bit disappointed and even had the car been valeted it would have done nothing for us[:-] History of Car Salesman regretted no books/ history at the time of viewing but they said would call me when the previous owner delivered them. (no call to date) Verdict Well, needless to say its not for us. I would consider the average mileage of a Spyder to be around 4k a year. The average price is approx $36K. This one at close to 26k miles and just a tenner short of £33K will not be easy (I could be wrong) to sell to an enthusiast. I have a three page print of from the local Porsche centre with full spec etc if anyone is interested, let me know.

Ah I see what you mean. I agree, better to spend a bit extra on a better car. Glad to hear that you are still in the hunt though[;)]
