Thanks John So yours is the Boxster S Anniversary Edition and the green one is a standard S demonstrating the optional 'Speedster Tail', which you've opted onto your Anniversary Edition. Haven't noticed the use of aluminium coloured calipers before. I'll now know how to spot another one[]

You've got it - The 'Speedster Tail' you refer to are two part Speedster HUMPS! Attached photo shows the car with another option. The one hump ie the hardtop![]ORIGINAL: flat6 Thanks John So yours is the Boxster S Anniversary Edition and the green one is a standard S demonstrating the optional 'Speedster Tail', which you've opted onto your Anniversary Edition. Enough of this 986 love in! Our Spyder thread could crack 5000 hits today []
Two minute job - out of the boot and on and locked in - completely changes look of car!ORIGINAL: flat6 Nice pic. How long does it take to take off/put on the humps?
Watch it lightweight![][][]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Enough of this 986 love in! Our Spyder thread could crack 5000 hits today []
Oh, I didn't think they'd fit in the boot. I've thought of an advantage you'll gain (we'll, you'll gain plenty of advantages[]), when you get your Spyder. The Spyder humps don't take up any boot space, obviously as they don't need to be detached to put the roof up. (Note that the Spyder roof stores where the power roof does). And, I reckon I could take down my roof and have an aero-domed open top ready to go, faster than it would take to do yours [8D]. I reckon I could also win putting the roof back up as well[8D]ORIGINAL: jdpef356Two minute job - out of the boot and on and locked in - completely changes look of car!ORIGINAL: flat6 Nice pic. Those wheels don't look as clean as RK's []ORIGINAL: flat6
My nuts look like Rob's. A few blemishes but not rust, yet (never I hope!)ORIGINAL: daro911No rust on my nuts EVER in 15 years and 6 Boxsters to date reason being only ever washed in luke warm soapy water Never jet washed Never used any acid cleaners. Never allowed to get filthy helps too[]ORIGINAL: flat6I'll check mine tomorrow. How long does it usually take before they start to rust? Years? Months?ORIGINAL: jdpef356 All this talk about wheel etc prompts me to ask:- DO YOU SPYDER OWNERS SUFFER WITH YOUR NUTS - OR ARE THEY JUST A LITTLE BIT RUSTY? Recent extract from my Regional Report in Porsche Post. As usual NAT (News at Ten) gave the events updates and it was onto TOM - Tip of the Month. With our concours event just around the corner it was time to ask. Do you have Rusty Nuts? Well someone had a cure! With the aid of a small plastic coke bottle with the bottom cut off and the neck end cut off to fit tightly over your nuts and a can of Spray Silver Paint the TOM Teller was trying to pass on his tip through much banter, harassment and laughter. Quite how in the demonstration the Bottle finished up on Tim’s Maddison’s nose I don’t quite know but with many baying for the spray to be used I somehow resisted. Onto JON (Joke of the Night) and the usual suspects took to the floor sending us all home with a chuckle.
Missing the coloured centres too!ORIGINAL: daro911 Those wheels don't look as clean as RK's []

Did you know the wheel centres are supposed to point to the valve?[8|] A detailer who came to one of our club nights told us that, and, if you look, it is true[:-]ORIGINAL: rob.kellockMissing the coloured centres too!ORIGINAL: daro911 Those wheels don't look as clean as RK's []
