Rob has Goodyears, you have Michelin and mine came with Bridgestones. I know some came with Pirellis too. For more Concours tips you will have to cross my palm with silver. First time I tried I came nowhere but give a lawyer a set of rules... Crests to valves is only the beginning!

I don't know, thankfully mine have loads of life left in them. Must try harder [] Lightweight Spyder much lighter on its tyres than my old Carrera 4.
Bet they cost the factory exactly the same price no matter which flavour[] Time for a mileage check me thinks Spydermen I am at circa 4600 []ORIGINAL: rob.kellock I don't know, thankfully mine have loads of life left in them. Just goes to show how much rain we get in Blightie I should have added mine are all dry s(Miles)[8D]ORIGINAL: flat6 I'm on 10,100. Got it in Feb on 3,600
Bought new with 9 miles on the clock in May 2010. Racked up 13000 miles on Friday afternoon. Trip computer currently showing 29.4 mpg 500 miles since its reset after Oulton Park last week (where it managed 11). Was on 25.5 before that and hadn't reset it for ages. Some minor stone chips to front bumper and a couple on the bonnet, bit of wear to the driver's mat but otherwise as new. Once put a bit of oil in it but it has never used any really. Very very modest wear to brakes when OPC last checked it, another clear perk of the light weight. It has toured the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales, Scotland, Le Mans, North Wales, Conway tunnels, Evo triangle and a couple of laps of Oulton Park. Ace!
Get it used! Note 997 turbo behind in its rightful place!
That's a good afternoons driving.................ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Bought new with 9 miles on the clock in May 2010. Racked up 13000 miles on Friday afternoon. That not all I heard he was up the bar (yes both types) on the Friday morning. Took the wife to Dinner on the Friday night - then went clubbing. Saturday morning inspected his nuts prior to getting his badges pointing in right direction. Drove to concours won that and was back home at midday. It certainly would have been! [] I like the grey car with ceramics pictured above, very cool.ORIGINAL: GTV6 That's a good afternoons driving.................
You don't know what you're missing. I'm living the dream in all weathers[] IMHO this is the coolest look - Sun Shield only, rear window removed and side windows down. This is how I be rollin' [8D] when the weather is not sunny enough for me to want to go full open top. I think they called it a Sun Shield because it's a cool Cali(-fornia) style for when the sun is too hot but they still want an open air cabin. We don't have that problem[] Also creates the most intrigue. I once had someone (a Porsche owner) ask when seeing the car like this, if an electric rear screen comes up to enclose the cabin[]ORIGINAL: daro911Just goes to show how much rain we get in Blightie I should have added mine are all dry s(Miles)[8D]ORIGINAL: flat6 I'm on 10,100. Looking at those shots I bet circa 2031 these Spyders will have achieved "Official" Classic Car Status especially if Porsche don't repeat the exercise []ORIGINAL: flat6 IMHO this is the coolest look - Sun Shield only, rear window removed and side windows down. Indeed. I reckon that if there isn't a 981 Spyder in the next 5 years there'll be people queueing up to take your Spyder, for exclusivity alone. Not saying the values will be appreciating in that short time frame, just the demand.ORIGINAL: daro911Looking at those shots I bet circa 2031 these Spyders will have achieved "Official" Classic Car Status especially if Porsche don't repeat the exercise []ORIGINAL: flat6 IMHO this is the coolest look - Sun Shield only, rear window removed and side windows down. Rob K, Jamie, do I have your blessing to push this last car at others?[] Hi John, the Speedster Tail has served you well but i've taken it upon myself to get you into the last Spyder[]. I do recall that you don't want Silver (you want a change from your current car's colour?), but it has the hot chairs. Spyders are not coming onto the market like they used to. You could be waiting for the end of never for the right spec to come up in the right colour, so forget the right colour and go for the right spec[]. I'll be posting cool silver Spyder pics, just for you, (or for any silent watcher who is tempted[]) until it's gone. Cali-style[8D]
Does anyone know why USA Porsche have those hideous bumpettes? [:'(] Very few other Euro cars have them these days but for some strange reason Porsche sports cars still do [] For a company that prides itself on design and engineering why in this day and age are they fitting those rear end monstrosities![:-]ORIGINAL: flat6 Cali-style[8D]
I thought exactly the same when I saw that they don't even have lights in, so I can't see what the purpose is[&:]ORIGINAL: daro911Does anyone know why USA Porsche have those hideous bumpettes? Sorry guys but with three silvers in the stable I really don't want another - when the right car in preferably Red or Black comes along with the correct spec I will be joining you!ORIGINAL: flat6 Rob K, Jamie, do I have your blessing to push this last car at others?[] Hi John, the Speedster Tail has served you well but i've taken it upon myself to get you into the last Spyder[].
