The Autotrader very low mileage private RED Spyder is no longer advertised so presumably sold [8D]

ORIGINAL: daro911 jdpef356 So what did you get upto in your Spyder this weekend? My SpYder came out to play with my friends SpIder and a nice 30 mile blast on my secret country route [;)]

Daro, I don't know how you drive but, whilst the Italian SpIder no doubt won the wailing contest, how did the German Spyder compete with it on your secret country route?[:)]
The SpIder absolutely crushed the SpYder on soundtrack & volume it was almost embarassing to say I had a PSE:ROFLMAO: but otherwise handing performance etc the SpYder is a much more manageable insect but speeds were not excessive so outright differences weren't called into question on this occasion but on paper the manual 360 400bhp has a similar 0-60mph of 4.4secs [;)] We really went out for a leisurely blast and enjoy the 30' without driving too madly and causing the cockpit temperature to rise even higher[8D]

there was a evo review on the merits of both it always comes down to the noise though, as the Boxster is the better car. http://www.evo.co.uk/features/features/260122/porsche_boxster_spyder_v_ferrari_360_spider.html

ORIGINAL: jdpef356 I would have taken more than brave pills had I have known what was going to happen when I went we drove in the ring. It was eyes shut and almost brown trousers!
And with the Spyder being in the worst position should something go wrong and the distance not be cleared, I would've driven off and faced the embarrassment of cowardice [:-]

that bike does look ******** low lol no wonder you kept the lid on. I still cannot work out how it manages to clear that run of cars at that height !!!

So it'd take some long straight road, rather than some twisty stuff, for the Ferrari to shine through as the supercar vs sports car. I'll take the Boxster and stick to the twisty stuff, which is where I have the most fun actually [:)]

Around town or in stop start scenarios the SpIder is a lot of heavy metal and definitely no fun at all compared to the SpYder It's a choice between old school exotica or new school limited production numbers that happens to look like jnr exotica[:D] as both these cars are worth very similar money today [8D] So you pays your money and makes your choice[8D]

I was thinking the same thing but thought it was just me so didn't mention it. He must've got some decent speed up as that height, judging by the angle of the ramp, doesn't look like an easy clearance for the end of the line!!!!

I'm going with the theory that the picture was taken as the bike was still going up in the air. Otherwise, there would have been guards red carnage.

Although only six cars in the arena he actually jumped total length of 9 cars. He built up to this by first jumping three then four etc etc until he got to six. He then moved cars one and four leaving two spaces. He then moved me onto the end facing as per the other cars making eight. He had a helmet mike and was announcing his world record attemp/crash at Donington - on utube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7y2cNBourU when he broke both ankles and jaw. He then asked me to drive around the arena and park lengthways on thus making a total of 9 cars. Nervous or what. He did not have much of a run up or stopping distance but I am told by friends he was well clear. Will try and post further photo of the clearance/landing.
