Question is Why won't it sell? Anyone seen it? Four other Spyders at Porsche Centre and average price of one would be £40.625.
Have just spotted Swindon have the twin spec car for £37850.00 4200 miles same age same wheels same colour same full leather heated chairs same age 03/10 but the 14k miler has a good few more option boxes ticked so is exceptional value compared to its 4k mile twin I would guess Porsche HQ ordered them up as a pair of stock cars in what would have been a very desirable spec at the time[&o]

Well spotted I think you're right, must've been spec'd by the same person. http://ucl.porsche.de/ucl/plsql/uk/clients.print_car?fin_=WP0ZZZ98ZBS740107&lang_=EN http://ucl.porsche.de/ucl/plsql/uk/clients.print_car?fin_=WP0ZZZ98ZBS740083&lang_=EN Now someone can consider themselves getting a £4K saving with the Byfleet car over the twin car at Swindon [:D]

ORIGINAL: jdpef356 Just love the colour of this car - with a Red interior would have been my number one colour for Spyder. I know its been said before but shy didn't they make the Spyder colour range more colorful. Like the 964RS. Which colour would you have ordered?[&:]
I think this is your dream Spyder John[;)]

Yes that it! Most people must be happy with the colour they have since only Daro and myself have chosen different than we currently own![8|]

Original brochure look for me [;)] I fell for a demonstrator that Wilmslow OPC took to Oulton Park for the "RS day" track day back in February 2010 - hadn't ever seen one before and couldn't believe how good it looked, even on a windy, overcast day. Fast forward 3 months and an almost identical car was in the showroom at Bolton when I took my 996 in for service, cunningly positioned between me and the door...

We've all been there Rob. Down on one knee for her hand Down on two knees for the car[;)]

There is nothing actually wrong with the Silver Byfleet car - I test drove, and everything was fine - its just (imho) badly specced with a few undesirables all together (colour/seats/wheels).... to someone that wants one - it looks lovely, and drives brilliantly - it is now getting to the sort of money where it will prob sell... I would reckon 32k and it will be gone.

Did we ever confirm whether it was the ex press demonstrator? Spec, age and mileage would indicate that it might have been.

I try to park in an end bay, then when i'm a few inches outside it to give space to the adjacent car on the other side, i'm not taking up another space. My previous Cayman got damaged twice in car parks and it is so inconsiderate of the perpetrators. Parking bays are far too small nowadays too[&o]

Just had an e-mail from a friend of mine who is an ex OPC dealer principal. I told him about the Spyder - his response "hell of a car - one of my favourite Porsches". I do think that as a package they are greater than the sum of their parts. Interesting to note current prices too - barely much movement since this time last year. At that stage an 8k 2010 car sold through OPC Leicester for around £35k. Still don't think there has been a cheaper car than the red high miles one at 911V either?
