Crikey! I was going to say the barrier didn't do its job and should be relatively sufficient to the risk from going beyond it. But then most rally stages don't have barriers at all. Maybe without the barrier he'd have gone into the water the right way up[ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan Woops!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hStcyDj830Q

Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Another Spyderman has provided me with more 4C info[
] Chris Harris shares his thoughts, with the Cayman in mind. I think unlike the F-type the 4C needn't worry about Porsche as it's in a different niche from the Cayman where comfort counts for nothing. http://www.pistonheads.com/roadtests/doc.asp?c=47&i=28496
Porsche has this PDK option all under control though to make loads of money. Because if you have the PDK to be quicker lets say, every one inc OPC says if having PDK you need Sports plus so it does change quicker, then also the paddle steering wheel. Then sports mode with pdk IS more than sports mode for a manual. total cost of having the PDK which does make the car quicker if you have sports plus is a wopping £3581, and does any one ever have PDK with no sports plus ? then to really kick you in the wallet you can only spec Sports plus with PDK if you have PCM 3 at £2141. SO to really have the fast changing PDK option total cost is £5722 Bit of a piss take imo.ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Yeah, I think so. It's £1922 - am sure plenty of people would rather invest that in built in satnav!
Not when you come to resell it though [ORIGINAL: Siy yeah - but money well spent!!! []
The 981 and 991 PDK come with a Sport mode without Sport Chrono. They must've conceded that it did the promotion of the PDK no good to let people opt for it without its bells & whilstles, not realising that it isn't complete. To charge so much to complete it is bound to have some people saying "no thanks" but then telling others that PDK wasn't that exciting.
so what settings did you end up with ? I much prefer Hub mounted sensors as this then as no effect on the wheel if it's not true. but being a new car your wheels should be fine ;-).ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan Had car in today for Geo. Sandy Lane garage in Chester have some top geo equipment. Good Job! [8D]

Not yet - haven't been able to find the right colour - and still in 2 minds as to whether it will look right - or if it will start to look too far from original.ORIGINAL: kitchens Siy Did you get any where with the side decals ?
-1 45 on fronts and - 2 on rears. It needs to be done resting on wheels so it takes into account your wheel height, suspension compression, chassis flex, tyres/pressures etc [ORIGINAL: MrDemonso what settings did you end up with ? nice settings, did you go for zero front toe also ? I would prob not have gone for that much on the rear. Porsche increased the rear neg camber on the R over a standard car already by quite a lot prob to offset the LSD and the push you can get with LSD. I would say at a guess the rear camber will not even get used as the front will wash out even before the rear has hit level at -2 as the car is well balanced being mid engine. but then on the straight your inner tyre wear will be much worse, Hub mount is still the best as it takes away any wheel issues, and how Porsche do it (the approved way) and also one of the leading Porsche geo outfits. Porsche make a proper hub mount adaptor just for the job even inc centre locks. The car still sits on it's wheels. The sensors bolt through the centre hub cap direct to the axel. as for tyre pressures that's done any way in the prep before any settings are even taken as is getting the car level. The hub mount then give you a true reading on the axel and of course far more accurate esp if you have a faulty wheel or any other wheel issues. Hunter is top draw though, but the last guy to use a hunter on my car scratched all 4 wheels due to the way they have to rest on the rims grrr.ORIGINAL: Andy Fagan-1 45 on fronts and - 2 on rears.
