Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

I know mine has, even the Boss says she likes it and its a keeper, I think i would strugle to find another car like the Spyder.
ORIGINAL: daro911 12 months & 3 weeks since posting on here [:)] we are now down to a record low number of Spyders available today just 5 / 237 out there looking for a new home So after 42 month since its introduction on the UK market most cars are now with their possible long term owners [8D] Next month there will probably be a record high for sale :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Both very different cars, the turbo was quick but very serious, the Spyder puts a massive smile on my face every time i drive it. If asked to choose, it would be the Spyder every time. Its just that much more fun to drive. Plus the Turbo was Tiptronic and you do feel a bit removed from the driving experience, well i did anyway, It was nice to go back to a manual.

ORIGINAL: flat6 Was about to ask the same thing[:)] From turbo to Spyder, i'd be very interested to hear your thoughts:p
The Turbo was nice and i enjoyed the whole experience, but for me the Spyder is a whole new level when it comes to just going out for a drive and just having fun, it ticks all of my boxes and as soon as i saw it in the show room i wanted to try it.

P.S. Welcome on board and how long have you had it? Also, what is the spec of your Spyder. Questions questions :ROFLMAO:

Just went for an amazing blitz around the Derbyshire countryside near Sheffield with the roof off and blow me down, a black Spyder passed me in the other direction! Thought they were supposed to be rare. Seriously though, what a machine these things are. Totally awesome drive! Also, really emphasised that PSE is a must.

Have to put the record straight[:)] You clearly don't talk on here enough to not be forgotten[;)]

Welcome Bluey Your car or just a test Drive?

Cheers. It was mine. Had it just over a month. Had to sell my Ducati due to a skin problem that meant I could no longer tolerate the gear. So traded 997 and bike for this. In some ways it's more exhilarating than the bike, if not quite as violent!

I agree, nothing beter out there unless you start paying silly money. On another note, that is my favourite colour combo on the Spyder. Would love a Blue one with the red leather.

Would be interesting exercise to see if your unique specification could attract the same retail price that the unique Aqua Blue PDK car fetched back in the summer which was a good £2k more than the car was sold for by 911V at the beginning of the year One thing to seriously consider is once sold you could never come back to the party in such a unique example something that the guy who use to run a Spyder forum in USA found to his cost having sold his PTS Riviera car and then returning sometime later with a more common Silver example
This is the reason I am keeping it :) with the R I could sell it no problem and just buy another, with my Spyder that would be just not possible. I only thought about it as my perfect spec R came up for sale , a White R with PCCB, Buckets and xenons ,etc etc but it's £49k was tempted to sell both and just buy this one.

Except a Cayman R [:-]

I bet the R blows you away after your 2005 Boxster 987 2.7 lol I love the R every time I drive it. Awesome machine.

leaked slide at Porsche meeting Boxster and Cayman GTS with 15 BHP more. phew no Spyder :) I am hoping they will NEVER do a boxster spyder.
