Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

I had an elemental shower cap on my Elise, it was a great addition to the car, the hassle involved with an S1 roof made it invaluable! I am not sure if he has retired, but they were made by a guy from his home/workshop in Preston. Guys my shower cap does the job perfectly in that it takes about 30 seconds to fit and is nice and snug once on for circa £41.92 incl VAT [&o] I use it when I am out and don't 100% trust the forecast as a shower looks possible ... to date I can say it has never been used in anger[

Yes just like that !!! I now know where to get it. Hope to collect my Spyder next week .
what the PCGB events all about then ? My issue is I am busy and hence motor sport comes down the list due to time not at home, hence looking at this new Midlands hill climb series to stay local. But I would rather do sprints than hill climbs. Donny is my local track and yes I am not on the pace at all atm (5 seconds off where I want to be) in the Porsches due to a few reasons. well 3 tyres, geo, balls. But as you track your R you will see PSM is quite clever and it knows you want to drift as long as the car is not crazy out of shape. (well not drift but get on the power early which might cause a little drift) Donnington has no crazy tight bends so PSM seems to know you are okORIGINAL: Andy FaganSo does this mean you are not getting the car to near it's limit at DP? [Why not do the PCGB speed championship and we can compare notes!!
tight bends the car rolls more, the steering angle is more and you are trying to get the power down, PSM don't like it, you might not get it on the R as Porsche fitted a stiffer ARB but on the Spyder it cuts in then starts braking on the rear wheels. I don't know if to fit the R ARB to the rear or get a adjustable one just in case the R one is not 100% right as it's fixed. car just needs fine tweeking for me to feel 100% with them both, I have the R about perfect for the road now, but the Spyder needs more work to be perfect. it's quite nice I can have a more road geo on the R and a more track geo on the Spyder, as I feel though the winter having more camber is a pain in the arse on damp roads with traction issues. I have come to a fast road geo with road tyres to be zero front toe, rear camber -1.8 front -1.4 with 7mm front spacers. that will get you a great drive on the road allowing great turn in and full use of the Camber. any more than that and you are not using your rubber and losing traction, braking turn in etc. It will also be ok to run though winter. track use with R spec tyres is another story, I am sure we SPyder owner need less roll, that will keep camber in check ideal want to keep below -2 on the rear, and I will try -1.8 all round I think. roll is an issue on rspec tyres and smooth tarmac which means more camber which you don't want, so may even look at adjustable front ARB also on the SPyder.
Daro I would be interested in buying one of these - However, You say trust its for wet weather but have never had to use! Haha - yes... ditto!!! I would be interested getting one of these - means I will use the car more often if I have a quick solution to parking up when the sky is grey! I would however be happier with one that uses the original red catches to secure on the hump lid (if you know what I mean).... not so keen on scratch potential around the rear arch - have you had any prob with that?

Previous cars inc MK1 GT3 C -Sport .Last car Aston V8 Vantage. Wanted a Spyder but Aston came along, but very happy to have now found one in right spec ie no silly exras such as heated seats etc.
Went to Demon Tweeks today and saw some OZ Ultraleggera 19" wheels which I'm going to order. I was also tempted by the new Yokohama A08R tyres which are supposed to be an improved compound above the A08ORIGINAL: Fire_2 TrackDay wheels, Been offered some Team Dynamics Pro-Race 1.3 18x8.5 5x130 ET52 (Front) 19x10 5x130 ET65 (Rear) I suspect the front will be ok offset wise, but the rear looks very wide? would have to balance it out via bigger front wheel spacers or look for a different wheel with standard offsets?coming in around 11kg front and 11.7kg rear.

I could ask.
