Found a couple more List of option codes can be found at http://www.porschemag.com/render.cfm?source=Op100~Option_Codes§ion=Option%20Codes%20Overview C16 = UK - Built to UK spec 621 = 12VDC socket in passenger footwell (987 and 997) Still looking for 767ORIGINAL: H14PDB Oh, I mailed Shirley's and the car has had recent service. Got list of options, some I am not sure what hey are: C16, 621 and 767. List I found on net did not have those on. Need to go look it over as black is very unforgiving colour for stone chips and general wear. Did not ask about what warranty they had on it. More thinking to do.

ORIGINAL: jdpef356Peter this private car was advertised a while back and didn't sell but was withdrawn and is now back on the market He is asking almost OPC money without giving the 2 year warranty so tons of room to negotiate and he has painted the wheels ALL black which isn't a good look compared to the factory finish with silver edge to rim. £500 to have refinished correctly [] http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/boxster-987-05-12/porsche-boxster-987-gen-ii-spyder------------------2010/1786740ORIGINAL: H14PDB Oh, I mailed Shirley's and the car has had recent service. I don't get the OPC money thing,(the only OPC car is £5.5k more, in a shocking spec) !!!! It's the only one for sale with manual, buckets, PSE, short shift, Spyder wheels, and also has the nice coloured roll hoops. I would be asking £38k for it and then take £37k due to needing tyres. and then not taking any offers at all on it. It's a 1 owner car also which is rare.
OPC car has 2 years warranty, under 1/2 the mileage, and is a 2011 registered example with "full leather interior" and the PDK H14PDB likes plus a load of other kit see below all for £5k more than the private sellers car with over twice the miles, no warranty, year older, no air con, and needing new boots The private car would struggle to make £30k trade today and the OPC car "IF" still available would be a fair buy at £38k IMO 19-inch SportDesign wheel Bi-Xenon lighting system with dynamic cornering lights Floor mats Fully automatic climate control Heated seats ParkAssist (rear) Porsche Communication Management (PCM) including navigation module Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) Porsche crest embossed on head restraints Sound Package Plus including CD storage Sport Chrono Package Plus Sports seats Telephone module for PCM Universal audio interfaceORIGINAL: MrDemon I don't get the OPC money thing,(the only OPC car is £5.5k more, in a shocking spec) !!!! Like the colour coded suncap on dash .... nice touch[8D]ORIGINAL: jdpef356 New page new Spyder Pic
as we all know imho, the options on the OPC car devalues it add a warranty and set of tyres to the private car it's still 2.5k cheaper ! As I also stated a 1 owner car, worth it's weight in gold imo buy direct off the only owner, who knows who had the OPC car ? it's a hard time of year for Spyder sales now it's gone cold and wet though, I would still put it up for £38k no other cars for sale !!! bit like the Viper Green GT3 worth £70k but was up for £99k only one for sale and all that, if you want it you have to pay for it. I would ask £42k for mine, it's not for sale btw, but that's what it would take to sell it. you can pretty much ask what you like when no stock available and they are rare, if a buyer is waiting for a spec to come to market what choice do people have ? buy or go withoutORIGINAL: daro911OPC car has 2 years warranty, under 1/2 the mileage, and is a 2011 registered example with "full leather interior" and the PDK H14PDB likes plus a load of other kit see below all for £5k more than the private sellers car with over twice the miles, no warranty, year older, no air con, and needing new boots The private car would struggle to make £30k trade today and the OPC car "IF" still available would be a fair buy at £38k IMO 19-inch SportDesign wheel Bi-Xenon lighting system with dynamic cornering lights Floor mats Fully automatic climate control Heated seats ParkAssist (rear) Porsche Communication Management (PCM) including navigation module Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) Porsche crest embossed on head restraints Sound Package Plus including CD storage Sport Chrono Package Plus Sports seats Telephone module for PCM Universal audio interfaceORIGINAL: MrDemon I don't get the OPC money thing,(the only OPC car is £5.5k more, in a shocking spec) !!!! The OPC car may well be one owner and your ex press car might be the equivalent of multi owners in the real world [] The private car at £2500 saving with warranty and new boots is still 04/10 v 08 /11 and 12k miles more wear & tear![] With the mileage you and I seem to do p.a. that means even 10 years from now the OPC car would still be less miles than the private car has recorded to date[&:] It's a harder time to sell a car to the impulse buyer but the genuine enthusiast wouldn't be bothered if it was sleet and ice out thereORIGINAL: MrDemonas we all know imho, the options on the OPC car devalues it add a warranty and set of tyres to the private car it's still 2.5k cheaper ! Ha ha, I wish. I am different time zone, +4, at work. But heading home on Thursday.ORIGINAL: jdpef356 Your up early - cant sleep? Thinking Spyder, Spyder, Spyder![][]
Thanks for the update - no wonder that was so cheap in order to sell. That's what happens to ex-press cars I suppose!ORIGINAL: Siy Reverting back to a an old question, I spoke with the guys at Porsche Byfleet, and the silver one without the Spyder wheels which has now been sold was in fact the press car, as you had thought. Sorry it took so long to get the answer!

Sound adviceORIGINAL: jdpef356 Peter Funny old thing selling/buying cars including the Spyder. - Offer it cheaper than most on the market for for a quick sale and people are suspicious[] - If a car hangs around for a while people then don't inquire since they presume others have seen it and something is up[8|] - If a car sells and then comes back to the market in a couple of months people don't like that either[&:] Much has been said on here re colour PDK/manual and all sort of things. My advice would be read the forum - you will then get a flavour of the individuals posting on here. What are they using the car for? (track and Road or just Road use) and what options if any do they have? Test drive if you don't know what gearbox you want. Try both manual and PDK. Try both sets of seats - note only one type can be heated. Decide what colour you could live with. Then make two list:- 1. Make a short list based on what are must haves for your car ie colour, gearbox, chairs and perhaps PSE. 2. Then make a second list of options thats would be nice to have. ICE, Sports Chrono, Reversing sensors the list goes on. When you find a car that fits your criteria you will need to on the ball since a good car will disappear quickly. Be ready to pounce. Don't compromise on list 1 but you no doubt will have to compromise on list 2. When you find one you like unless you are a technical engineering boffin a PPI is not an option but a necessity. Enjoy the search - its the first part of ownership! P.S. Read this forum, it contains some good stuff.[]

It's a fair point. A picture is a small price to pay for membership into this exclusive club[]. On the Internet, things aren't always want they seem, some aren't who they say they are, others copy and paste knowledge found elsewhere claiming it as their own, but offering some authenticity will boost your credibility [] Spydermen: daro911

Interesting that you edited the quote - worried about protecting the value of your ex-press car? It's not a nice feeling when people criticise your P&J, is it. Thanks for the offer but whether or not I'm considered "authentic" or "credible" doesn't really bother me. I could, of course, find a random Spyder pic and claim it as my own but I'd rather be honest and say that I'd simply prefer not to post up pics or details of my car. Some people are "[over]sharers" and others prefer to be more discrete. Surely that is a personal choice? Whether you or others believe that I have one or not isn't going to cost me any sleep! I very much enjoy contributing to this thread and don't believe that such participation needs to be "bought" with anything other than enthusiasm for these terrific cars.ORIGINAL: flat6 It's a fair point. I can't see a function to do polls on here so maybe people can quote and edit to show numbers. I'm interested to see how many people have taken the "Boxster" badge off the back of the car and just left "Spyder". I might lose the "Boxster" soon as it looks better. I presume this was never a factory option? "Boxster Spyder" - Big E "Spyder"
Factory option was all or nothing on the back. They definitely wanted to hold back the "Spyder" for the 918 [] I went naked for a long time and have now gone Spyder only I really like the Spyder only look best but for ease of clean you can't beat nakedORIGINAL: Big E I can't see a function to do polls on here so maybe people can quote and edit to show numbers.
