Congrats Ted, welcome! I'd choose L97B, Ancona blue metallic. I can gladly move this 'Gossiping' thread to the 'General' sub-forum if you wish to just chat, maybe the moderator there is more tolerant. However, whilst it remains here it's on my watch. I suggest you use this thread for 'on topic posts' and not to have a pop at us non-paid volunteers. At the risk o going off topic - Nick, are you threatening to move this thread because you don't like it? I enjoy reading, and occasionally posting, on this thread, even Mr Demon's provocative stuff, and would hate to see somebody with a hidden agenda spoil it.

ORIGINAL: jdpef356YOUR CAR TED - WELCOME TO THE SPYDERMAN WEB
Mich PS2ORIGINAL: flat6 My Michelins wore pretty evenly across the tread front and rear right up to when they were changed. What tyres do you have Vroom? Not that that makes a difference to how they should wear.
PS2 is same as me. I'm no expert but if you've got a lot of life left in the rest of the tyre i'd get it checked out. If you've got only slightly more wear on the inner edge, you might be noticing more now you're down to the legal limit? The out edge of Michelins have a shallow tread and it's a harder rubber compound. So I expect the idea is for that to be harder as you 'lean' on it and is more of a dry weather tread whereas the inner tread is more for wet?
Congrats Ted, Just a couple of comments, firstly on thread, I bought a car from Jeff Wong at Bristol OPC and have to agree he is very good and would recommend him to anyone. Secondly, I follow this thread regularly and until now have not posted on it, but have to say that apart from the Spyder being a special car the mixed content, humour, interest and camaraderie draw you back to the thread on a daily basis. Long may the thread continue and lets not get to serious.
Brilliant - thanks for posting. We quite like the GT cars on here too (although daro911 wasn't too smitten at the PEC) []

Oh, nice. The more Neil Young the better. Lovin' it.
It's long overdue that you give them a call. The title of your thread maybe should have been celebrated days ago[]ORIGINAL: daro911 Getting back to business Spydermen for some reason Solihull's car is still on the locator but has been pulled from all other media[&o] Does anyone know if it is still for sale
Thanks for the support Geoff[] It took a lot of work to build up the momentum and now it's self perpetuating. It's been a fun 'place' and as you say, let's hope it can stay that way[]ORIGINAL: geoff lane Congrats Ted, Just a couple of comments, firstly on thread, I bought a car from Jeff Wong at Bristol OPC and have to agree he is very good and would recommend him to anyone. Good morning Spydermen and readers
Not a very good choice of colour chart from me[&o] Brian no doubt noted the chart did not contain a good bright RED. Unless I have missed it I don't think anyone has gone with L80E WHITE [&:] The most popular colour is L96N with four votes - I think that would look good with a cashmere interior[8D] Remaining votes were split between L97B 2 votes, L51P 2 votes, L20E 2 votes. So my Choice L50E - with a Dark Grey interior if that was an option!
Good Morning Captain John Most Spydermen on here already have a version of L80E hence the colour change next time around [] In the meantime I am considering posting a "topless" picture for all the early birds to oggle before it gets "Nicked"ORIGINAL: jdpef356 Good morning Spydermen and readersNot a very good choice of colour chart from me[&o] Brian no doubt noted the chart did not contain a good bright RED. Nice pic ......just like our Spyder posts... souring high !![][]ORIGINAL: daro911
Guess I must drive too quickly round lots of tight bends. Shame on me!! I'm only really measuring the inner circular grove, I ignore the shoulders as I expect them to wear to a degree. My measurements seem to decrease across the four grooves from outside to inner on all four tyres. Probably only talking 1mm max difference from outside to in.ORIGINAL: flat6 Just found a bit of info here. Click on the 'Technology' tab. http://www.michelin.co.uk/tyres/michelin-pilot-sport-ps2#tab-tyres-benefits
Here's a pic of my old tyre. The pic was taken at the PCGB track day at Angelsey. We were picking up a lot of race car rubber. That's all the grey blobs and squiggly lines you can see. You can see how the tyre wore. I'm no track driver and the tyres left the track in the condition they came in to be fair. At first when I saw the lines of race car rubber I thought it was mine and was gobsmacked, until I saw that large blob and realised it wasn't from mine[] You'll see my outer edge is well and truly scrubbed and that is not from the track, that is from the road driving. The difference in depth of all 3 grooves was tenths of a mm. Same on the rear. Was really happy with how they wore front and rear as there wasn't any wasted tyre due to uneven wear on one side.
