I am a bit too lastminute.com to commit that far ahead! I'll be going to Le Mans next summer (possibly the 24 hour, probably the Classic) and I can only push MrsK so far...

Have any of you done a tour with Petrolhead Nirvana? http://www.petrolheadnirvana.com The new 2014 tours have just been released and I'm trying to decide which one (or two) to do in the Spyder. I think the Sypder will be a fantastic car to tour in! I've done the California and Wales tours and can highly recommend them. As I did the Alps with some friends last summer I'm thinking a nice weekend in Brittany and perhaps Norway (Viking Tour). Anyone got any tours planned for 2014?

I am trying to convince the missus that I need to be doing one of these - got the 2014 schedule today and want to do all of them!

Going to Techno Classica in Essen in March for 4 days , the largest classic show in the world i believe. Then in June doing the Le . Mans 24hr for 4 days never been to either before .I am flying to both as it is a long way from up here to get down to the ports and it involves an overnight both ways so makes sense to fly and a lot more cost effective . Also plan the World Tour of Scotland in August with the DDK guys if there is a space available again 4 days of driving in God's country .Have some more brownie points saved up as Mrs K and I are doing a cruise next month of the Canary Islands for 10 days [;)][;)] And going to the NECC Classic in 2 weeks time as well.. Must go painting the hall and stairs so more brownie points Mrs K has allowed me a 10 min break [:D][:D] What us guys will do to get away and enjoy ourselves [;)]

Le Mans 24hr is more about the drive down, the stopping of at cafe's seeing sports cars stop and all joining in, the camping and the crack of the whole thing. flying to Lemans and staying in a hotel , don't see the point. It's not about the racing that much.

I did the US one on my own as Mrs E didn't want to go. I had such a great time that she decided that she wanted to do one so we went on the Wales Weekend. She really enjoyed it as they are quite social, lunches, dinners etc. Two Spyders on one tour would be great!

Wow, sounds busy! I'm going to Classic Le Mans this year, will be my first time. We're lucky as we can get to Eurotunnel in about 45 minutes so it makes is very easy to do road trips in France and even get to the Champagne region in 4 hours. Saying that I have to brave the M25 to get anywhere and would love to have some quiet roads nearby! Mrs E is fairly good when it comes to me spending money/time on car stuff............as long as all the DIY is done to her satisfaction first!!

I would take some persuading to drive a Spyder from North of Glasgow to any of the Southern ferry ports. Having said that, the experience at the ferry ports when we went to the Classic last year was one of the surprise highlights of the trip. The racing is even less important at the Classic! Brian - I do hope it's your Mrs K that you are earning all these brownie points from and not my Mrs K [:D]

Hope you're all keeping well :) Been a while since I posted, so I thought I'd make for it with a collection of photos. Inspired by Rob Kellock's adventures with other Spyders and a F458, I wanted to venture out to (a v foggy!) Brecon one last time this year. Was fortunate that fellow local Bristol owner Stuartelec was free, so I took him on a mini-tour to help him break his Spyder's 'Brecon Cherry'. We had an amazing day chasing each other down mountains, exhaust notes screaming & concentration dialled to 11. Pure intensity ... and what a car to do it in!! Hope you like.

Looks like a great day. What routes did you take? I did a superb weekend in Brecon earlier in the year but I think it's somewhere where local knowledge makes all the difference! Spyder was the perfect car for it of course.

The classic is brilliant, you'll really enjoy it. I now prefer it to the 24hr (must be getting old!).

There you go again MrD jumping in when you do not know all the facts[:D][:D] I am camping !! must be off my head at my age .Doing the Lycian package at Porsche curves so will be in the good company with fellow petrolheads and Porsche people . As Rob said it is one hell of a drive down from Glasgow to the ports and no glamour driving round the M25 it is not a driving holiday more a weekend watching the racing IMHO [;)] Done the Spa trip and the Oldtimers GP now that is all about driving In fact there will be a large crowd coming down from Scotland to this next Aug done it 3 times will give it a miss this time would be really pushing my luck if i said i was going [;)][;)] Painting finished for the day ran out of daylight [:D]
