Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Interesting that the manual Cayman R is the much lower figure. Only 3 for sale at OPC today [:)]
great for resale and I bet less than half of those with bucket seats, so 60 odd cars to choose from and I know 2 people after Manual cars with buckets as we speak. Cliff and my mate, he will even buy one with wrong wheels to get the right spec every where else, as you can get 1.5k for turbo 2 wheels and import wheels for about 4k from Germany. so if the price is right wheels are not an problem but a good point to get the price down when buying. new page pic :) our new toy in manual of course, a 211bhp JCW mini, it's my gf birthday today so a great toy to share. and you get to see me :)

By the time Kman R came to market Porsche had figured there previous mistake with Spyder and took measures to rectify their error ... not enough PDK's :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

or you could say most of these cars were dealer stocked cars and dealers just speced them wrong :)

Thankfully my wife doesn't know about this site as it's her birthday too but no JCW for her today[:D] Great piece of kit you will both have many (s)miles of fun and as a Cooper S owner since 2001 x 4 examples to date I know what I am talking about [:D]

So the rarest is the PDK Spyder - no wonder they sell so quickly.
With a 59 Plate 1st month of production example fetching circa £41k this week the paddle gearbox seems to have established a healthy benchmark for others to now follow [:D]

That's it the car that made BMW what it is today. The Tii had mechanical fuel injection the pump sat at the front of the engine rather like the diesel pump you see on an old Massey Ferguson Tractor, times have changed.

Just imagine how much more it would have been worth if it was a manual? [:D][:D][:D]

I thought the same thing, but then I thought I'd rather have the Cayman R than the £46k. I love it [:)]
The trouble is what can you buy with your £46k that will give as much pleasure and depreciate as slowly ..... I can't think of a single alternative to my current Spyder ....

that's mine up to £48k now if I was to sell[:D]but as said above what else can you buy for that money that's got a unique bodywork normally reserved for porsches costing 3 times as much (ie speedster/sport classic)

There is an interview on Pistonheads with Walter Rohrl http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=52&i=29197 in which he says (and I quote) I've just ordered a Boxster Spyder with a manual shift - and I know that it's working, it's perfect, and it's up to me how I handle things He can hardly have ordered a 987 version, as they are presumably long out of production ... so does he know something the rest of us don't?
