I think i just see a pig flying by! FBR
Now you are fighting our man Mr D on two fronts 981 v Spyder and here [][:D][:D] I was looking forward to post 700 especially if Mr D meant "nice" by something good We have enough to cope with this relentless bad weather so let's try and keep it relaxed and peaceful in this section of the www gents[:D]
Thanks. I don't see any evidence that Mr demon is either a gentleman or good. Keep looking at the nice pictures. FBR

Edited to add - just a bit late to beat daro911 with his new pic!

All Spydermen now have a pic in post #8001[8D]
ORIGINAL: flat6 Ooops. I re-posted the whole thing in post #8020 instead of editing post #8001[&:]
ORIGINAL: DarrellWilson Feeling the peer group pressure for not posting a photo. Can't wait for the sun so track day at Donington in two weeks, that should give me some good photo opportunities.
Might get my head blown off, but for a bit of fun i've added to the peer pressure and changed the pic used for those who don't have a pic[8D]

Well done Prof - keeping us all up to date and in order![;)] -------------------------------- So lets try something new! I will show you mine if you'll show me yours I'll kick it off with:- The Boys at Bedtime.

I have collected a few Spyder related bits and bobs since becoming an owner - So come on - you've seen mine, show me yours!

Stelvio was OK, but nothing more really. It's a tick in the box to say I've done it, but not that interesting to actually do - just a load of "down a gear, hairpin, up a gear, down a gear, hairpin, ......." I think some of the other passes are more fun with more open bends. We're going down to Italy again this year in the Spyder, so will perhaps find some other nice routes! Also aiming to do the Raticosa pass from Bologna to Florence - hopefully won't regret not having aircon (12kgs!)

Whilst I am sure MrD can fight his own battles, as daro911 observes, let's keep it relaxed and peaceful on here. Instead of being offended by MrD's direct style (which can be more blunt than Saga Noren from the Malmo County Police if you are watching the excellent Scandinavian drama Bron / Broen / The Bridge on BBC4), I respect that he has strong opinions and is not afraid to voice them. These days he makes it very clear when he is simply expressing an opinion, usually backs up his position with some form of evidence, never takes the bait when he is personally insulted and, as on the other thread, apologises if he has got it wrong. He's owned a lot of interesting cars and has posted videos demonstrating how handy he is on track. In real life, he's a nice guy too. As my wife jokingly says about me - you know, despite what people say, I think he's alright.

ORIGINAL: kitchens http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=29330 especialy for Andy and Mr D
Yeah I saw it but it has problems... Not to mention the steering wheel is on the wrong side for me. The car does not fit into any particular race series and would take substantial work to make it legal for anything worthwhile. Looks very nice though.

Absolutely agree. [;)] Forum wouldn't be the same without MrD [:-]

ORIGINAL: flat6 Haven't seen those vidoes. If you recommend I watch them, please post.
That'd take me some time to find - may have been on Pistonheads - but I watched a couple he'd posted from one of his Loti (Lotuses?) and he pedalled it well.

Hi All, the nice people at Bristol OPC replaced my old wheel nuts with nice black ones, first saw it on here, so whoever first posted it thanks for the idea.

Spyder love :) I have 2 you tube channels 1st one seems to not let me in after google bought them out so I started another. me at cadwell in the black car with a good friend of mine who is a awesome driver in the yellow car and now races. http://youtu.be/Sx1MnJNhOx4 at Donny http://youtu.be/gTpa8K7-Jc0 at Bedford in a audi TT, 1 warm up lap, then one timed lap. http://youtu.be/YUipUmVuX1E my new channel which will have new Sypder vids on this year is Mrdfastcars I have got some spyder vids at Bedford and Donny but on my mates Mac which does not seem to work with any thing I give him to transfer over to me. I'll get a new bullet cam of some sort for this year. I also have times listed at the westcircuit how fast event if any one wants to try and beat them, I know I will be trying to go a lot faster this year and will do a couple of how fast events again. http://www.howfast.co.uk/leaderboard.aspx lap of 126.30 I hope to knock 2 seconds off that this year, now I have a geo which works and nice tyres.

Nice pic Nice plate

thanks ;-) I don't seem to have the all out guts to drive fast these days on track. not sure if it's me getting older, the lack of track days I do now, or the worry of binning my car. I need more race training and plan to pay for a bit more instruction from a current race driver rather than track day instructors who for me seem to lack that racers edge. Might be just a lack of confidence on my part. when I look at some of these hill climb experts on you tube it sorts of puts me off entering any sprint events :-( the standards are very high. I just feel I don't get enough track time to get that good now, where as before I felt at an OK standard and was quite confident. time will tell I guess, there is always some one faster :)but I would like to think I would not be last.
