Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

I does seem a ridiculously low price if you consider the mileage against the similar one sold at 911V One does not know people circumstances for selling but i think that car even given its spec could easily command at least another 3K . If an OPC where to buy the car and warranty it i recon you would be looking at £38995 .If it had PDK it would be staying in Scotland beside its Red cousin [;)] QUICK A PICTURE SOMEONE [:D]

ORIGINAL: daro911 Nearly as light as you can get them[;)] Seems like not a penny back for those Ceramics £37990 for a 12k mile example is priced to sell real quick I would say http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/porsche/boxster-987-05-12/porsche-boxster-987-gen-ii-spyder-low-mileage-ceramic-brakes--full-porsche-service-history--2010/2043007

The Evo magazine "future icons" car isn't it? That Scottish car does seem cheap but the advert doesn't mention what seats it has, nor any of the service history etc.

Billy 1 I would guarantee that it was all done at OPC Edinburgh . next service a big one in early 2014 brake fluid etc ...... i would guess at comfort seats but no PSE or rear park sensors Those wheels are a real turnoff for me sorry most of the cars I saw in Reading opc at the weekend had that style [:'(]

Turbo wheels are forged and a very expensive wheel, look great on a black car. I can forgive it with those wheels on that colour. because it has PCCB :) Would I want to buy some Spyder wheels, may be lol but Turbo wheels sell easy for 1.5k or nice to keep with some sticky rubber on. Angus car has no spec at all and sports seats not buckets, might be due a Major £1k with spark pug and brake change. No sports options and no PSE. but the white OPC car has no PSE either.

So it looks like this example at this price level/mileage in principle has passed the Mr D right spec right look right car test [:D]

I don't like black, it was last on our colours poll we did (ok after cream). lol plus I have just brought another black car and already thinking what a idiot. these things are impossible to keep clean, but look great for the 1st 5 minutes after a clean

Been there and got the T shirt but mine was Lapis Blue. I can't be doing with all the high maintenance dark colours demand in order to look good for about 30 minutes compared to a week of dry days with a light colour car before it needs cleaning again My current White Silver Mini can easily pass my extreme clean 24/7 car tests with a once a week wash when we have had nothing but dry weather. Just a daily glass clean and because the wheels are matt black they can be done once a week easily too

I actually like the cream, it would look quite retro on an R, not sure about the spyder though.

This is exactly what mine looks like, only the standard, non ceramic, with red callipers. The wheels are already talked out but they do suit this colour car with the silver decals.

I wanted white silver with red roof, but this JCW came up and was the cheapest in the UK for a 13 plate, we were just going to buy a white silver Cooper S. So it's black, but still has the red roof and I bought the GP lower red air scoops :) white silver looks great.

[;)]That's where we differ you let your wallet rule your heart I would have willingly paid more for a low maintenance colour than go for a very dark finish which would have me fretting on an hourly basis My logic what price for peace of mind and a clean car 24/7 of course :ROFLMAO:

Magnolia does it for me every time [:D][:D] saw a Ford Focus that colour of cream yesterday and it looked [:'(], Would never have a black car at any price ..had a 996 Cab and washed it whilst out on a Porsche run it was that bad. never again

ORIGINAL: rob.kellock This one's for you prof. Decision made for you, if that's what a base Cayman can do, imagine pitching it against the Spyder or an R! [link]http://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=rgO0ir7DPLc&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DrgO0ir7DPLc%26feature%3Dyoutu.be[/link]
Had a skim of the magazine today and it said the 4C beat the Cayman on the track but the Cayman's all round abilities made it the better road car[&:] But that's not what their video said[&:] His colleague came to a slightly different conclusion in his video. http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/alfa-romeo/4c/66222/alfa-romeo-4c-video-review After all these reviews i'll have to bin them all[:D]. Some say the steering has loads of feel. Some say it has none[&:] I think this car will clearly divide opinion on the road, track and on paper and if one wants to like it they'll like and if they don't they won't. But watching this exciting man climb into the car at 0:23 does it's cool rating no favours at all[:D] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RG7oCUekM0

I saw a cream white Cayman at an OPC a few years back and it worked quite well http://www.911assistant.com/image.php/thumbnail_4683.jpg?width=678&height=370&image=/images/products/373/thumbnail_4683.jpg http://www.911assistant.com/image.php/thumbnail_4683.jpg?width=678&height=370&image=/images/products/373/thumbnail_4684.jpg

Has anyone seen this and thinking about going? As the Club's national event won't be at Silverstone I might skip that and go to this instead. Brands Hatch is a great track. Powering down through Paddock Hill bend into the dip, staying on the power to stop the car going light as the track falls away. The most memorable corner I have driven. http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=809655&mpage=1 Brands Hatch 19th – 21st September 2014 The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the planned Brand Hatch PCGB Motorsport weekend during the weekend of September 19th -21st will now incorporate the Club's National Event for 2014. It will be branded as a festival of sorts, but the actual name has yet to be decided with our partners. We will be working in conjunction with MSV and Porsche Club Motorsport and it is expected that Porsche Cars GB will support the organisation of a "Porsche Day". The event will incorporate a track day on the Friday for Club members, racing practice on the Saturday and full race sessions on the Sunday. Members can attend all three days with preferential Club ticket pricing. The general public will be admitted on the Sunday. In addition to the on-track racing, there will of course be many attractions as befitting a national event: from funzone to go-karting; trade stands to special displays including Concours, there will be a host of activities to keep the whole family and the most discerning Porsche owner and prospective owners entertained! Planning is still at a very early stage and as soon as more details are available we will keep you up to date on the forum and in Porsche Post.
