Donington continues to look a bargain at £23 for 2 inc infield parking, and a bit more handy for northerners. I've now booked for the Sunday (4th May - bank holiday weekend).

Is this how the configurator displayed Guards? Might match the red leather better[:D] My favourite colours on the Spyder are white & guards and then followed by aqua.

Just had my CR detailed by CLB on Wrexham Industrial estate. It was clay barred and the full monty [:)] Unfortunately it was raining out side [:(]

Hello All, I have been following this thread for a very long time and at the moment i am on the look out for a Boxster Spyder. I have been offered one today at a good price but i am not sure if its come to early :/ . Ideally i wanted to get my day to day car sorted first then go on the look out for the Spyder. Its 35k-38k with 11k miles on it, in white. Has nearly everything but bucket seats. From what i can remember these cars are really holding there values and aren't loosing much at the moment. So stick or twist!?! Thanks, Phil

Phil Welcome to the Spyders Web I would say go drive it once driven you will be smitten .the seats are a personnel preference as is the gearbox Where is the car based at 11k miles it is still low mileage and i take it will have warranty at that level .Yes they are scarce and hopefully prices will go up or hold .If you where to but a 981 at that price it can only go one way ...down Brian

Welcome Phil and as you can see from this part of the www the answer has to be TWIST and shout the Spyders secret charms that even some top Porsche management have recognised by buying one for their personal collections. Says it all really [:D]

Hi Phil Part of your decision might come down to how easy or hard to come by is a car with the majority of your desired spec. As you'll have seen, rate at which cars are coming to market has significantly reduced. If your desired spec isn't too obscure you might wait but if it is, you should put your Spyder hunt at top priority. Even if your desired spec isn't too obscure, the market could continue to dry up. It's been very sparse of late and it's not tye weather.

Thank you for the replies. The only option i may of gone for is the buckets, where this one has the sports seats. I have driven a PDK spyder with the buckets. I did love it but i'm a manual type of guy!! I am thinking though that i could be waiting a long time for this type of spec again. Hopefully values will hold above 30k too. Phil

Hi, I guess it should be a case of working out what spec is essential to you, and what spec is "would be nice". "Correct" wheels / seats, and stuff like aircon, nav are all difficult to add if they're your "must haves". As others say, you need to see and try a few to work out whether you want all the extras or the light weight approach. If this leads you to be quite spec critical, then you might have to bite the bullet when you find a suitable one. If not, then they do come up for sale, and prices are firm, but not going up at the moment. Personally, I couldn't get my head round the car having had the buckets de-specced, but accept that others may beg to differ!

buckets are a must have for me in this car, but each to their own on spec. it's cheaper to buy one with no PSE and no sports mode and to add them than to buy a car with sports seats and add buckets. I thought the dick lovvett car looks a nice buy, nice low miles, then just add PSE,and a SS. http://www.dicklovett.co.uk/Dealers/Porsche/Used-Car-Details/Porsche-Boxster_Spyder-Carrara_White-2010-20188629.html
