New Page New Spyder For Sale[][]ORIGINAL: daro911flat6 that car has taken the big hit on the depreciation and we have seen these cars in year 4 are selling for more than they did in year 3 You can easily buy a great spec 981 S for less money than a used Spyder today so using this low miles minter freely i.e. 4K miles p.a. shouldn;t be an issue to consider especially with something so unique and rare today. I bet there are far fewer Aqua Spyders v any other colour combo out there and that car with it's black stripe and wheels is possibly one of one! AT £39999.00 what can deliver anything close in the thrills and spills department and be maintained for BMW/Audi/Merc money if that[]ORIGINAL: flat6Have to admit Rob it is a VERY tempting prospect. I think a Spyder that starts with a £3X,XXX would suit me better so I can use the car freely.ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Flat6 - get it bought!!!!
well we know the past two owners on this car, as every one has said , a rare car. but why are the last 2 owners moving it on without using it. both raved about PDK but it seems it was not enough to keep interest in it ! I do think the Spyder needs to be that 3rd car at the house, people buying as a only car don't seem to keep them should sell quick though, also saw the red Spyder last night at Leicester OPC for the Macan launch. Don't get the Macan or any SUV product, neither a nice car or a useful estate.
ORIGINAL: daro911Nice summary flat6 but where does that leave the 62k miler in your view [&o]ORIGINAL: flat6 As billy1 said a few pages back, those who drive them get a better return in miles per pound than those who try to keep the miles down to maintain the value. The low mileage cars are inevitably worth more but the higher mileage cars are not disproportionately less from what we've seen. A car with 'reasonable' miles is worth mid £30s all day long. A car with low miles is worth higher £30s. A car with very low miles and a rare spec / rare colour fetch over £40K to the right buyer. But the cars bought for say approaching mid £40Ks could be easily turned into a £38K car by enjoying it for a few thousand miles, whilst a car with 12K miles, enjoy a few thousand more miles in it and its still a mid £30s car - heading to free motoring if you're lucky[]
Hi Daro I'm not saying I want the blue car for £3X,XXX. IMHO Tom has priced it fairly given today's market. I'm saying that for me buying a 12K mile white car for example and running it for say 2 years and putting say 10K miles on it would suffer less depreciation that paying a premium for a blue or red 4K miler and turning it into a 14K miler over time. No-one gets as excited about 14-20K milers to pay £40K for one and Spyder buyers are a funny breed and crave cars that a virtually unused, because plenty of cars come up for sale with less than 10K miles, so 15-20K looks high even though it's very low mileage for the year. Ties in with what MrD says about some people having them as 2nd or 3rd cars - the mileages stay very low.Shrewd buyers will buy a 15-25K miles car for reasonable money and pick up a perfect car[] So the blue car is not for me because I wouldn't embarrass myself or insult Tom by saying "I'll give you £37K for it" when the car will clearly sell for more. I would look for a car that should sell for £37K, drive it as much as I like (and I like to drive mine a lot) and probably sell it for £34K down the line if the spec is nice and the demand for Spyders still remains. Kenneth, I did drop you a mail asking about your car but don't know if you got it.... Get the Suncap off and wind noise is no longer an issue which I understand is the case to with Suncap ON but scarf OFF[8D] The only thing I ever tune into is the PSE which is permanently "ON" for meORIGINAL: MrDemon I am very lucky to get my Kicks from the R which is just a good a car to drive and no wind noise ;-) think my Spyder went to 9k miles on it's last trip out, but will add a few Sunday.

Deposit taken. Happy for the gentleman who has bought it. He tried to buy it from us before and then again when it came up for sale privately shortly afterwards. I'm sure he will be along shortly to say hi. Tom
Tom I think that has to be some sort of record for the same car to have been sold by you guys in literally hours "On 2 Seperate Occasions" and to think when the Spyder launched in March 2010 shortly afterwards an OPC was offering me £3k discount to take a stock car that wasn't shifting in "Aqua Blue" [8|] Look forward to hopefully having another Spyderman join us over here shortly []ORIGINAL: Tom 911Virgin Deposit taken. Wow, a very quick sale (again). Another Spyder that has increased in value with age and use! (IIRC it was around £37k last time you sold it, and then was swiftly sold on for £39k!).ORIGINAL: Tom 911Virgin Deposit taken. Happy for the gentleman who has bought it. Just ticked over 10k Rob and will be using it plenty over the summer - why not, they're increasing in value anyway! Obviously that means it's worth about 2p to a "collector" though!ORIGINAL: rob.kellock You make some good points billy - what mileage has yours done? Mine is on 21000 but will be doing 500 more this weekend. brian, what can I say? - I lived in Leicestershire for 4 years but I'm pretty sure my wife never has! So much wrong... [][][]
Great news Tom was always going to sell, this colour is super rare. with all these cars deposits taken Tom will be buying a new sunseeker upgrade, like EJ'sORIGINAL: Tom 911Virgin Deposit taken. Congratulations I am pleased it has gone to a fellow Spyderman from here too .... Did you PX your recent purchase against itORIGINAL: Mayhem911 I am converting from white to blue. Like Daro,I lusted after this car and missed the chance to buy it last year when it was 4k cheaper,so I had to do it this time around!
Thank you! No I couldn't take that amount of pain after recently buying from Opc . Tom has very kindly offered to sell it on my behalf, still with a loss ,which I have managed to justify with man Maths! As you know , we both loved the colour and spec of the new one, and unfortunately for me , so did my wife!!
Congratulations. Was half tempted myself but am too attached to mine having owned it from new. Not sure I agree with flat6 (although I see his point) - i think you could put 20k miles on that over a couple of years and still have relatively cheap motoring?ORIGINAL: Mayhem911 Thank you!
