Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Good on him/her if they got £55K but unless the mods are worth £15K I think it says more about the buyer than the current value of Spyders[:-]. What do PCCB's typically add to the value of a used Porsche? Not a great deal, despite what they cost on a new car & even more to replace / retrofit. Even MrD is surprised[:)]

Probably the exact spec someone wants. PCCBs, buckets, GT3 harnesses, suspension modifications, PSE, no AC. Sounds like a very lightweight car improved even further for track use.

ORIGINAL: MrDemon if you earn 1 million £ and the cars the spec you want what's 55k ? It's not like you can go and buy a PCCB Spyder with RSS arms and a lipo battery tomorrow any where else. Some times if you are very lucky you can get way over book price if the buyer has to have that car and cannot get one any where else. It's not like you can retro fit PCCB for less than 15k, that battery is 2k and the arms 2k. you see some old escorts go for 150k now that's crazy for a mk1 Escort you have people asking 100k for 80k worth of viper green GT3 so 20k for a colour !!! And people will pay 20k over list for a 991 GT3 which you cannot even own till OCT
Don't forget low mileage mint 993 Turbo's are over £100k today and in 2011 they were almost 1/2 todays value! http://www.howardwisecars.co.uk/index.php/car-details/porsche_993_turbo/ http://www.hexagonmodernclassics.com/car_sales/Porsche-993-Turbo/9391.htm http://www.hexagonmodernclassics.com/car_sales/Porsche-993-Turbo/9221.htm

lets hope the Spyder does the same, I see no reason why not. :)

Hadn't realised those items alone would be almost £20k to buy (and whatever to fit). Makes a lot of sense now. I can see people paying it for the right car if that's what they really want. That Singer Spyder earlier in the thread could probably have squeezed 50 out of me if it had been for sale when I was looking.

ORIGINAL: MrDemon 55k !!!!
It's true that a car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay and the car might be exactly what the buyer is looking for. But if someone can tell me how much those parts are worth, including a brand new set of PCCB's with calipers, I can get an idea of how lazy or shrewd buyer was to pay £55K for a £40K car[8|][:)]

as I said 15k for the brakes and £2k for the battery plus fitting of maybe £500+ for both. RSS arms, geo and harness would be £2.5k fitted.

Sorry, hadn't seen the above post with the costs. Still a bit OTT paying close to list for used parts. http://911.teile.pl/en/porsche-parts-shop/model_Cayman-987C/21/Wheels-brakes/602-PCCB-ceramic-disc-brake/222/603-01-PCCB-ceramic-disc-brake-rear/PCCB-Ceramic-brake-disc-Boxster-S-Cayman-S-Cayman-R-L/8146 http://911.teile.pl/en/porsche-tequipment-shop/model-Boxster-987/16/Performance/PCCB-ceramic-disc-brake/222/PCCB-Ceramic-brake-disc-Boxster-S-Cayman-S-Cayman-R-L/12483

Topless too just as it was designed to be driven. Trust the car went as well as it looks[:D]

I need alittle more :) still getting to the edge of the tyre and under hard brakes still fully stable. Maybe try -2.5 as not to kill inside edges and to match rear

OPC Spyder dropped by £1K Cheap low spec 2011 OPC R gone and another 18K mile 2011 R in its place with more options and £3K more on the asking price...

ORIGINAL: Mayhem911 ...did have a bit of a shock when I saw how much Porsche charged for painting the wheels basalt black !! £1100. Ouch.
£1,100!? Has anyone got a full options price list from 2010/11 so I can be an even bigger need and work out a list price?
