Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Don't close the thread just yet[;)] Spyderman has come a creditable second in the Florida Keys out of 60 plus Entries. full story to Follow. HOLD THE FRONT PAGE![&:]

ORIGINAL: tyinsky So a Golf/A3/TT is a much faster than a 911 Turbo? A generic front wheel drive platform shopping car? Is that just in a straight line?
I think in the world of modding you can make anything go faster than anything else, but do you end up with a silk purse or a sow's ear... And as you say, straight line ability vs going around corners are two different things, especially if you still want to enjoy the car on the road. That's why I was under no illusions that if I went for a 4C it would not be better than a Porsche at what a Porsche does best, despite what it could crack in a straight line. Speaking of modding, it's nice to know this about the stock internals of a certain engine, but I wouldn't dream of getting into all that: http://switzerperformanceinnovation.com/web_en/2009/10/30/431/ I hope mine is OK[8|]

Come on lads. What's going on. Stick a few good pics up and name your price. I don't think that car needs to go to trade if given a fair crack.

Speaking of modding, it's nice to know this about the stock internals of a certain engine, but I wouldn't dream of getting into all that: http://switzerperformanceinnovation.com/web_en/2009/10/30/431/ TTRS will wip most thing in the bends also, the 4WD just has grip in spades , bring on any wet surface and no Porsche no matter what would have a clue where the Audi went too. when I say Vmax we have a slight bend at the end of the 1st straight, say good bye to the 911 (RUF) in the bend :) to the Audi it was a case of what bend :) still dull to drive vs a Spyder but no duller than a 911 turbo or the like. http://youtu.be/n2o-14GQCCM so I would not say having a remap and a geo is making a TTRS a "sow's ear" lol it is still a 50k luxury brand/car but not one a lot of people wanted to pay 50k for as it was seen as a 50k TT the 5 pot engine is a tuners dream for £600 to get 430bhp and now guys are running 600bhp and out draging 458's etc easy. I would say most are remapped, so never race one :) o and guys race them to in the targa rally again beating all the Porsche brands. It is what it is :) but a performance bargin if you just want to go fast safe all year round

did Kenny ever post asking price?

Just bringing it back on track.... After a good friend (now PCGB member) bought a Spyder from an owner via this thread... it has impressed and we may well be looking for another! Details to follow! Just to be clear...These are private buyers, I am just a friend and Porsche enthusiast and get no reward, other than the promise of the occasional drive! :)

Not for me Tks, I already have too many cars I don't drive enough as it is!..... It's far easier to get your mates to buy them for when you fancy the occasional "test drive". ;)

OK MrD, as I said, I didn't know anything about the Audi TT. I now know that it is the best kept secret of the sports car world and the king of the drag strip. I stand corrected and have cancelled my order for the classic turbo I wanted[&:][:D] I thought about getting a 964 Turbo instead as I like those too, but they are even slower and that will never do![:D][&:] I will get the TT and get the remap done and race everyone on the road, not that that is what I was looking for out of a car, but you have enlightened me and how can I resist[&o][:D] So TT it is then and hopefully this here endeth the fixation :ROFLMAO: Then perhaps not, the 4C fixation lasted about 8 weeks, so a little while to go yet I expect[:D] Or if I go for the TT, will you recommend something else?[8|] Please help! I don't know what I want :ROFLMAO:
