Darrell Have you tried Locktons? They may do a one off Copy of previous forum post from another area - hope that helps you make the day. ----------------------------- There are many benefits that as a PCGB member, you will get free with the policy and I have listed a few below: Legal Cover UK and EU break down cover including homestart and recover Fully Comprehensive EU use Agreed value Track day cover for PCGB organised events Choice or own repairer in the event of a claim No mid-term admistration fee's 4 named drivers free of charge (subject to age/experience requirements) These are the standard benefits that are included within the policy but that is not to say that we will not consider things not covered as standard. For example, the track day cover is for PCGB events only as standard BUT should you request a non club event, we will take the details and providing it is an event that we feel comfortable with, then cover can be agreed. If there is anything in particular that anyone would like me to comment on, please let me know and I would be more than happy to do so. I assume that ''Track days?, European (ahem....."Ring") cover?'' is referring to the Nuerburgring. Just to clarify where you all stand on this. The majority of insurance policy wordings in the UK will have a specific clause excluding the Neurburgring. What people do not realise is that this is actually a public toll road and your insurance policy MUST cover you for liability. This is only the case when the road is open. So if a company was to hire the ring for a day, this would then be a closed road and that is where no cover would be granted whatsoeever. It is only when the road is open and RTA in force when liability MUST be given by the insurance company. In all circumstances, cover for any damage would be excluded. I would suggest that if any of you are planning to use the ring that you speak to us first so that we can advise accordingly. Lockton and PCGB are business partners and we have built an insurance scheme for the benefits of its members. This is a long-term partnership and for those of you that know me, you will know that we engage with our clients much more than most insurers. I have been working with Chris and Richard from the club and we have put togehter a calendar of PCGB events that the Lockton team will be attending throughout the year so I look forward to seeing some fo you there. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. I am on email 24/7 and my mobile is always on. Contact details below. Thanks John, I have. They don't do one-off cover and their annual premiums (in my case) are higher than others that will include all track days, not just PCGB ones. I haven't given up just yet []ORIGINAL: jdpef356 Darrell Have you tried Locktons? They may do a one off

You might want insurance when hammering around in your next Cayman [] http://www.autoblog.com/2014/05/13/porsche-cayman-gt4-spy-shots/ http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/porsche/cayman/87009/porsche-cayman-gt4-spied http://www.gtspirit.com/2014/05/11/porsche-cayman-gt4-launching-within-three-years/ The first is an upgraded version of the flat-six engine currently utilised by the Cayman and Boxster and currently producing 340 hp in range-topping Cayman GTS specification. However, there is a possibility that the Porsche Cayman GT4, also likely to be offered in Boxster specification as the RS Spyder, will make use of an inline-4 cylinder turbocharged engine which could utilise a similar hybrid setup to the Porsche 919 Hybrid endurance racer. It remains unclear just how much power the Porsche Cayman GT4/Porsche Boxster RS Spyder could produce but it could cost around $125,000 in the United States and feature a similar PDK transmission to the incredible one found in the 2014 Porsche 911 GT3. http://www.4wheelsnews.com/porsche-will-debut-new-cayman-gt4-boxster-rs-spyder-within-three-years/ORIGINAL: MrDemon I don't have track day cover always seems too expensive and huge excess's of 10% of the value of the car.
Along with mine for the Spyder RS[]ORIGINAL: MrDemon a lot of if's and buts on the GT4/R what ever it is inc the large price it will be and every report has listed a guess on an engine from 4 pot turbo to 3.6 to 3.8. Still my letter of intent goes in tomorrow lol
Saw those pics on another forum. Is no one else thinking it is someone's personal car that has had a 'tuner' making modifications to it? Looks too polished to be a mule. Just can't see them breaking their daft rule of holding the perceived lower model below the ones above in terms of performance.
I got to agree with that I thought the same thing too. Especially the rear spoiler looks a bit "iffy" for factoryORIGINAL: tyinsky Saw those pics on another forum. not with that front end, but it's very Ruf like, but it's also very GTS Maybe Porsche liked what Ruf are doing ;-)ORIGINAL: tyinsky Saw those pics on another forum. Good point. If it is a test mule that has been sighted it'll be launched sooner than the 3 years that some of the articles are suggesting. However i'm beginning to think you two may actually be spot on...ORIGINAL: Andy FaganI got to agree with that I thought the same thing too. And I thought these suncaps pop off at anything over 125mph [][]ORIGINAL: Fire_2 Wet trackdays really show how good these cars really are! just a shame I couldn't get the top off []
Hats off to you Fire2. I'm not big on tracking my car because i'm not that good at it. But then if I was good at it, i'd probably be too worried about what i'm doing to the car, even though the car is up for it. I think the best thing to come from this community is the posting of what people get up to in their cars, whether that be racking up the miles driving around the great roads in the UK and Europe, or taking it on track, or presenting the cars with a concours level of preparation (I was in admiration of those clean tail pipes[]). So whatever you do with your cars whether that be driving it or polishing it, post it up and see who else has common Porsche-tastic interests[]
