You were the last person I'd have thought would sell. Did you pick up the white CS from Nottingham? There's been one parked outside for several weeks now - looked nice.

No - red Cayman S PDK. Initial impressions best not be posted here or I'll be banned from the Spyderweb. Gutted to lose the Spyder but it's a bloody good car.

Yes.....very surprised indeed!! I hope your new car will give you as much pleasure as the Spyder did and you will still visit this part of the forum ..So i take it Phil is the new owner ?

Not sold it privately, part exchanged it at OPC Nottingham for this beauty. Very difficult decision, I had treated my Spyder like a third child, ran it in from new, winced at the first stone chip and wanted to keep it forever. But... I already have half a dozen board meetings at Cornbury House lined up (300 mile round trip) various other PCGB commitments and the Spyder was either going to languish in the garage or pile on the miles. It is not a great motorway car. With major service due, warranty renewal due, MOT due, front tyres on 22k miles... It was going to cost me to keep it and after 4 years I developed the itch to change. Whilst I did have some second thoughts about going through with it, I am very grateful to Tom at 911V for his expert knowledge and advice on the Spyder market and his opinion on the deal I was offered. I am also grateful of course to Nottingham OPC who promptly reached an amicable deal and prepared the car very nicely. Full spec: Guards red Leather interior PDK Sports design steering wheel and flappy paddles Sports seats plus PCM3 Sound system plus Preparation for mobile phone Light design package (v groovy) Lady parking Heated seats Badge delete (just says P O R S C H E on the back) 20 " Spyder style alloys, I forget the name Wheels in satin grey finish Wheel centres Electric folding mirrors Cruise control No sports chrono, no PASM, no sports exhaust - can't say I'm unduly concerned yet. Less than 12 months old, 7800 miles when I picked it up. I want to use it and enjoy it, so far it fits the bill nicely. Am not the sort of person to try and sell a car like the Spyder when it's due a major service etc, factor that in and the price to change would be the same so the convenience was hard to resist. Am sure I will continue to enjoy being an honorary Spyderman on here.

How about White/Buckets/Manual/S/shift/PSE/Spyder Wheels/22k miles[;)][/color] Best ring OPC Nottingham sharpish! Be interesting to see where they pitch their selling price at given it has all the most desirable ingredients? Nearer £45k than £40k?????

That Looks very nice Rob , Enjoy and have a good weekend at Anglesey[:)]

Looks very nice Rob. Just hope no one in Notts buys your Spyder - I like being the only one in the village ;) What does the groovy light design thing do?

Thanks gents. The car won't owe Nottingham £45k but good luck to them - I have a new car and the sun's shining. Perfect Spyder weather :-( Light design package has all kinds of fancy LEDs, the nicest one shines out from below the door mirrors!
