seems a daft car imo because of the 2k GTS option which should be standard. inside is very nice with the full GTS option though, but one would have to spec each and the options you want to see which comes out best. I would go GTS as I like the pose value and the GTS pack looks. But the latest jurno reviews imo are bollocks(esp when they state the GTS is lighter, when in fact it weighs more lol ) , the reviews are more about that x73 option. just very disappointing no x73 GTS car to try :-(
buy the x73 shocksORIGINAL: rob.kellock Result! Or, in my case, save many, many thousands of pounds by going down the approved used route. [] And use the money to save up for some new tyres!

so mr D you wont be looking for a gts to replace your R then[].after my brief drive in a 981 cs pdk it left me cold and only emphasised how good the spyder is and how i enjoy the raw mechanical feel of the spyder wether its faster or slower .i personally would now rather buy a 981 2.7 manual on 19" wheels with sport chassis if i was looking for a new porsche. lets hope the fabled gt4 comes with a good package ie flat6 larger torque but not worried about large bhp thats in excess of 400hp but must be wheel geared and look better than the current 981/gts,if not looks like i will keep the spyder forever[]

just to add the problem with a new 2.7 is that with a nice bit of kit it comes in at £50k+ which is way to much for said car
AgreeORIGINAL: MrDemon if you buy new you buy what spec you want and even without PDK which I would NOT choose again the cost was £73,190. driving the R home felt like driving a GT3 but better lol
I got 3rd at Blyton in my standard R, and that was against stripped out race cars with far more power. They just handle so well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZesksC8ARH4 This one is at a very wet Loton Park, just shows how well they handle! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alcG4hJMP6M
That's looking cleaner than usual [] just needs the roof removing [8D] GT Porsche July 2014 Issue has tested Mr D's dream machine 981 GTS Cayman with Buckets with Ceramics with "Sport Chassis" They also tested the 981 GTS Boxster which sounded awesome and concluded the car is so good it didn;t leave the tester hankering for a 981 Spyder any more[&o] Finally they have done the full history and tests of every Boxster model from 986 2.5 through to the Spyder[]ORIGINAL: tyinskyPow!

Its a good read, deff worth the £4.50 []
Thanks, Yes I was on R888's for both runsORIGINAL: jdpef356 Both great runs and camera work as Daro said. Were you on the same tyres for both runs?
They are a very good tyre for Sprints and Hillclimbs as they work quite quickly. They are not the best in the wet but in 19" there is very limited choice for tyres. There are better road and track day tyres but usually they take a few laps to start working properly so not the best for speed championship as I found out []. I don't think the R888 would be a good road tyre because they are *extremely* noisyORIGINAL: jdpef356 Andy These R888 judging from he two different conditions on track must be a great Tyre. Have you used them for every day all round year road use?
