Nice to read an ousider confirming what we already knew on here [:)] That's all well and good but who on here will still have theirs when it is becoming a modern classic [which by current indication might only be a few years away] Three people on here spring to mind, partly because they have had plenty of cars in the past so as not to not get that itch that needs scratching like I did[:)] I think if I had previously owned a 911 Turbo or GT2 I would have kept the Spyder longer as I would have already scratched that itch. But it had to be done. No regrets at all, but the Spyder certainly made a worthy keeper and after I sold mine I did give the aqua blue car some consideration before it got advertised.

I am trying to keep mine, the gt4 will play a big part in this, but trying to fund that another way. The GT4 could be very special and sort after if it's last of the NA engines and a 3.8 lump. If it's anything like that it will go the way of the RS 4.0 ESP if in limited numbers. Thing is if you have another sports car to use, the Spyder is better than money in the bank.

Not today but maybe tomorrow if Evo is on the right track [:D]especially if the 981 Spyder RS uses the stock cars existing bodywork

Better than the bank for most, Most people who bought 2 years ago could sell for more today I would say. Even today's best cash is a is fixed at 2.3% it's poinless saving money.

How bland does that look? I cant understand why Porsche did not introduce a splash of colour when they knew the Spyder was limited/minimum production numbers. Just take a look at what they gave the 964RS guys to choose from. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=964+rs+colours&espv=2&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=eLTMU7faMsG57Abip4HQCQ&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAQ&biw=1351&bih=738 What colour would you have chosen for your Spyder ?

Talking of white, was lovely to see a very clean white Spyder heading towards the Hogarth roundabout yesterday evening - plate started LT11 I think.

Mint Green ..I nearly bought a 964 not a RS mind you several years ago ,saw it a Porsche shown down south .It was stunning and even had the interior the same colour [8D]

Thanks for the good wishes guys... All seemed a bit too easy, and it was !.. the guy that was buying it had to pull out... He had a recurrence of a medical issue, and unfortunately is going to be unable to drive for the foreseeable future... So had to pull out of the purchase - a tad frustrating - but I really feel for the guy.. and he loved the car so much as well... Hope he is ok soon. So - this time it does go onto pistonheads The good news.... I get to keep it for a while longer until it sells!!! Every cloud eh!

I would list the service history and dates done. and never say "....in as new condition." as people just think , not possible what else is being exaggerated. big up the car , as it looks stunning making mine look battered lol but it's not as new...
