Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

the pictures are now on PH for the 911V Spyder. it looks good, no sports chrono. just curious if this indicates a rise in prices for the manual cars or for all low milage cars, not megga low either!!

Great car, and no reason not to price it the highest , no other car for sale with that spec in white atm Imo car will sell quite fast, it's a case of pay or miss out these days. Now gt3 and RS cars can be 150k that leaves a lot of head room for these to go up. They still seem very under valued to me, should be £55k now looking at other Porsche's.

My 3k miler cost the 1st owner brand new in April 11 £58k (after 5k discount)so £55k today for a concours winning example would seem fair price to me [:D][:D]

Those seats look superb with the painted backs.

My fear was that prices couldn't stay as high as they were last May when I sold mine! For £55k a brand new Boxster GTS has a lot of showroom appeal... Just goes to show, never listen to me about where the market for used Porsches is going!

Thanks - I hope when it comes up for sale the next buyer appreciates it may not be one of the 100 with buckets but it may just be 1/1 with painted backs:ROFLMAO:

White instrument dials and, even rarer, white sports Chrono clock finish the look off nicely too. Like its owner, a one off for sure [:D]

I will be genuinely surprised if the 987 Spyder prices do go much higher, for a while. We have the 981 GTS, imminent Cayman GT4 and at some point the next generation Spyder. That is a lot of competition for the customers looking for a summer toy, particularly when the cars are new with warranty etc... At the end of the day, I don't think enough people will boycott the new cars because they mostly have PDk or cry themselves to sleep over the latest steering feel. Each to their own, but some people just like to have the latest toy. If 10-15 Cayman R owners all order the new GT4 and their used R's hit the market over the course of a month or two, prices are unlikely to rise, maybe the same happens when the new Spyder is announced and available to order.

could be true, on the other hand it could be the forcast launch of the 981 spyder that is holding back the prices of the 987/2 spyder. if the 981 spyder does not turn out to be something special then the 987/2 spyder prices could rocket then. if it is something that the 987/2 spyder owners want then perhaps prices will hold for a while, who knows untill the new launch

Ha-ha Rocket man,,, I think you may be talking your book! [:D] The point being there are quite a few interesting cars due to arrive, if you buy a Spyder now, buy it primarily to enjoy it. The thread was about values going up 30%+, it could well happen,,,but consider the actual % of Spyder owners on here, it is a relatively small sample.

Garage looks great but you need a few Porsche pictures up on the wall looks a bit stark [:D] I have the ideal thing some old Porsche calendars that would make great prints

ORIGINAL: rob.kellock Garage looks fab! As, of course, does the car. I'd lose the tax disc and holder, would look better without?
Yes agree about tax disc holder, Ditch it! But needs a PCGB club or Boxster Register Badge[;)]

it is nice to see the Spyder is holding or even going up in price, anything better than a 5K loss on a car for me is a win win. not many normal cars that can do that, but i dont buy normal
