Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

But, just had a thought. Is there a speed limit to keep those humps attached, like with the Spyder roof?[8D][8|]

My speedster humps were factory fit options. Not cheap so you don't see many around![:-] I purchased mine second hand so don't know if they came with instructions when new. I know you can but after market ones but have heard issues about fitting these[8|] What I can say is that when mine are fitted they are completely rigid and we have been up to 130mph whilst on a WOTY in convoy in France.[;)]

Oh OK[:)]. But, THE Boxster Spyder is the complete package[:)] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AN7KswHeiPQ

No, No, No. For the complete package, check out this Porsche ad for the Spyder... [link]http://porsche-addict.com/2012/08/11/video-spyder-surprise/[/link] It is [slightly] not suitable for work!

Now we know why rob.kellock bought his [8D] Has it's powers of attraction brought any results rob? Just joking[:D] At the end of this one, this lady shows you where she will hide if the wife turns up unannounced[:D] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0apjBooC59I

Excellent, laugh out loud moment at 4.05 on that. Sadly, mine wasn't specified with an American blonde under the "hood". And no, if you are as ugly as me, a Spyder is not enough to tempt the birds [:D] When we went to Le Mans this summer we did get waves ang giggles from a Rolls Royce full of bridesmaids on the M5 but I think they were ogling R18's legendary minor celebrity Jamie Wilson not me!

[:D] I would've never thought an adult would fit until I saw it. My son watched it and now wants to try it. Can't be good for the floor though.

If all you Lightweight Spyder guys only purchased your car for the adds this will get you all running to the Showroom - see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8GoT_B2JOY Now off you trot to the showroom to buy your bike - just don't ask for a Bennetts[;)][:D]

OK, if we are sharing our collections, here's one. Is the sound on this distorted? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xp3t64t395g

Thanks Rob, very flattered, but the wedding chicks did dig the spyder! Until it rained..... Fickle beauties[:)]

Interestingly and I don't have a video to back this up :ROFLMAO: the lightest, fastest Boxster offered for sale to date is still the "Spyder" Stats were taken from Porsche GB website a while back when 981 was first launched and went as follows:- 981 1320kg v Spyder 1275kg 981 236 bhp/tonne v Spyder 247 bhp/tonne 981 0-60mph 4.6 v Spyder 4.4 981 0-100mph 10.7 v Spyder 10.3 981 Torque 360 Nm @5800rpm v Spyder 370Nm @ 4750 rpm I rest my case for fellow web members [:)]

I just found this: [link=http://www.weissach.net/986-987_RoadTestSummary.html]www.weissach.net/986-987_RoadTestSummary.html[/link] The lightest Boxster may well be (and why should this surprise us) the humble mark 1 986 2.5 litre. It ain't a lot lighter in terms of weight - although it's quite a lot lighter on power! Inspired by going sideways at Silverstone last Thursday in the 981, I woke up at the crack of dawn on Saturday and decided on the spur of the moment to go and drive the Evo triangle. Four hours and 225 miles later I had the biggest grin on my face imaginable as I arrived back home for coffee and a bacon buttie. The 981 is great but the Spyder, on that sort of run, delivers more smiles. I then managed to go to Specialist Cars of Malton on the Sunday so the Spyder is not currently displaying daro911 levels of cleanliness! Jamie - I'm sure those chicks only had eyes for you [:D]

Good on you. That's what these cars are for, plenty of driving enjoyment[:)] I had never heard of the Evo triangle. Then only tonight someone else mentioned it at PC Chester. I must try that some time[:)]

You must. Not too far for you and well worth it. Thread on the Porsche forum on Pistonheads with a chap who just did it in a Cayman R and took some nice pictures.
