I bet the other Porsche in these pictures went through a similar life story as the Spyder is currently experiencing and look how that old girl ended up decades later []ORIGINAL: rob.kellock That £47k car won't hang around long, soon they'll be £57k and beyond [][][]
What brilliant pictures. Chap at the experience centre asked us to keep our hands off theirs as it was insured for £1.5 million!
Rob PEC £1.5m car isn't a Speedster as above it's a pucker 550 Spyder as below []ORIGINAL: rob.kellock What brilliant pictures. Chap at the experience centre asked us to keep our hands off theirs as it was insured for £1.5 million!
Ha ha. Oops. New Spyder always looks good alongside an icon.
(Off topic) A couple of pictures later was this one - both from this summer's trip to the Le Mans Classic. Incidentally, your OCD wouldn't have wanted to see what happened to my Spyder once that V12 fired up in the previous pic!
Rob previous picture was a straight six series 1 but either way you are probably right about what happened nextORIGINAL: rob.kellock (Off topic) A couple of pictures later was this one - both from this summer's trip to the Le Mans Classic. Will bow to your superior knowledge, for some reason I thought it was a V12. Will check, it was one of our group!
V12 has flared arches and longer doors plus six more cylinders and 4 carbs two per bank. Back in the day I had the last ever 4.2 sold by Henlys Colindale and then later on a V12 tooORIGINAL: rob.kellock Will bow to your superior knowledge, for some reason I thought it was a V12. Yes, you are definitely right! Bit before my time [] Certainly sounded like no other straight 6 but it did have a straight through exhaust too. Very pretty thing. Door open to dry out! You certainly have an eclectic back catalogue.
