John compromise and wear some thermals if you get that cold [8D] I wanted those chairs but compromised and bought one with hot chairs and full leather interior In years to come I am sure those carbon buckets will be the more desirable option to any serious collector over the heated sports seats I've got and you are busting to find []ORIGINAL: jdpef356I took a couple of photos of the Red Nottingham Spyder when I test drove[8D] - has everything but Hot Seats!
I know so close to being a sale - the the guv'nor wants hot seats, so it will have to be hots seats! Great way to invalidate your warranty []ORIGINAL: rob.kellock John, buy it and swap seats with daro911! It's a win win situation courtesy of PCGB forum. There is no fee for this match making service []
If only that was that easy Rob! I enquired at Porsche Centre was this possible and its not. Apparently the wiring loom for Buckets did not include the necessary to retro fit heated seats! So its a No Match and No fee for you Rob![]ORIGINAL: rob.kellock John, buy it and swap seats with daro911! It's a win win situation courtesy of PCGB forum. Anyone know any more about the seat swap Robs talking about - I would be interested to hear more. ThanksORIGINAL: rob.kellock I don't think that's true. Someone from Pistonheads definitely did a seat swap at an OPC in order to seal a deal on a Spyder. I think it was at Sutton Coldfield but then again I thought that E type Jag was a V12 so don't take my word for it! Largely said in jest anyway, I'm sure the right one will come along in due course.
Hi David So it looks like you went from Sports Seats (possibly heated?) and had the buckets seats installed. I guess the OPC were unable to install the Heated (if you had them) back in the buckets seats?ORIGINAL: MrDemon Was my car OPC swapped the seats from 2 Spyders over as I wanted the buckets. They took some buttons out, and added the sports mode button and software also.
I know red is loved by some and hated by others, but IMO it does appear to the best colour for a Spyder alongside white. The painted roll-over hoops look good in red (or white) as on 'your' car. Wheels painted in black to match the hood wood finish it off nicely. I saw one on my hunt with that combination and it looked awesome [] A quick google of 'red boxster spyder' brought this up. http://images.dealerrevs.com/gallery/photo.php?id=30482037ORIGINAL: jdpef356I took a couple of photos of the Red Nottingham Spyder when I test drove[8D] - has everything but Hot Seats!
Thanks Rob. I will definitely go do it. I'd hazard a guess that it'd be as enjoyable as a track day if not more.ORIGINAL: rob.kellock[link]http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=48&t=1209244&mid=121261&nmt=North+%26+Mid+Wales+Road+Trip[/link] If the link doesn't work it's now on page 3 on the Porsche forum!ORIGINAL: flat6 I will. Can you send me the link to the PH thread. Thanks. Were my eyes deceiving me, or, on that link to autotrader there was a red one with hot chairs......... for £47K!!! John will have some serious negotiating to do. Actually, it should be easy, just show them the OPC car which is £10K less[]
