Lol, I haven't done 166 yet but I do plan to do this some time [] http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xbssfj_clarkson-thriller-911-turbo_auto And Porsche-life is full of too many mantras. "Turbos are heavier than GT3 (of course!)" "Manual is the only way to drive" "RWD is the connoisseur's choice" "Engine in the wrong place" "Boxster is the poor man's 911" "Turbos are too heavy" etc. etc. etc. If i'd have listened I wouldn't have tried one. Some will have tried it and didn't like it i'm sure. Who cares. I say everyone go out and buy what you like whether that be a Carrera cabriolet or a targa 4S or a 2.7 987 Boxster and you'll have the most fun that way. The man who said he'd rather have Anthrax than a 911 was pleasantly surprised [] http://youtu.be/blDh04HvtZs Each to their own. Anyway i'd better get my feet back on the ground before I am run out of here lol[]ORIGINAL: tyinsky Turbo looks an awesome thing. Have you had more than the 166 I've had out of the Spyder yet?
Totally agree. And i'm sure you'd have paid a healthy premium for the 800 miler that even putting a paltry 8000 miles a year on it for a few years would have eroded. Lol the sale was so quick (advertised at mid-night, sold before 10am) everyone said it was too cheap. But it was right for the time and just perfect timing for the both of us[]ORIGINAL: tyinsky I used to worry about putting miles on the 964 prior to the Spyder. 60-something thousand on it when I got it and in the end I had to put a sticker over the milometer to stop me being obsessed with it. If I put a lot of money into a car i want to enjoy driving it, and with your old car I've done exactly that. Anything that wears out will get replaced, anything that fails will be fixed under warranty. Prior to convincing you to sell me your car on that frantic March morning last year I narrowly missed out on an 800 mile one - wonder if I would have had the same attitude to using it?
