Why? They can paint cars any colour for road testing, we have seen black and red car spy shots so that seems odd. Seats, surely they have buckets seats in production. Must be a reason though as does seem long time for any more info to emergeORIGINAL: MrDemon no paint or seats lol all cars are on hold even 918's

not really on hold, any car which is speced with 918 seats is now a extra 10 week delay ! (was 8 now 10 !) which is why I guess the 981 Spyder is now sans 918 seat option which is a shame. The paint is said to be back on from June builds for the 3 stopped colours.ORIGINAL: H14PDBWhy? ORIGINAL: daro911 Any theories why Porsche haven't released a single Spyder since launch over a month ago for the journo's to rip into [&o] GT4 tests popped up far quicker than this!

It is a shame as expect quite a few would like the choice though sometimes less choice makes final spec easier to decide on. I tried the GT3 seats at OPC and thought them fine and with advantage of being able to pick heating so not too bothered.ORIGINAL: MrDemon not really on hold, any car which is speced with 918 seats is now a extra 10 week delay ! they are great seats, just a shame to have a new car but then have the 987.2 old style seats in it though. the nice new bits were the steering wheels and 918 seats imo. And if they add 918 seats to the 2016 builds resale on car with 987.2 seats will be harder.ORIGINAL: H14PDBIt is a shame as expect quite a few would like the choice though sometimes less choice makes final spec easier to decide on.
