There are only 2 Cayman R's for sale at OPC's and they are both PDKORIGINAL: tyinsky So they are selling then. How much truth is in this thing about the PDK cars being more difficult to sell?

Hard to find good manual Rs now. If they do come up they are gone in a flash.[]
I think similar to the Spyders they have filtered down into the hands of the enthusiasts now and there is little else available to replace them at similar price.ORIGINAL: CLIFFWILKINS Hard to find good manual Rs now. If they do come up they are gone in a flash.[]
Agree Andy. What could you replace the R with for even a bit more money nothing really without getting into huge money.Would I even if I had that kind of money probably not.[]

PeterB14 : Just heard from my OPC - original July build date delayed to October - first of four cars. for all Spyders? Robert you may get your wish for 2016
Fantastic news for me if I do get delayed but seems like our PEC July Spyder meeting may not occur now [&o] My personal conspiracy feelings are the decision to show at New York on "April Fools Day" may prove to be just that as since the motor show launch not a single test review which isn't the normal Porsche new car launch M.O. The lack of any firm information since opening the order books again hasn't been handled in the usual fashion and the suits getting all wannabe Spydermen to stump up a hefty deposit whilst providing almost zero information is worthy of good old British Leyland [] W T F is going on back at Stuttgart in 2015[&o]ORIGINAL: Andrew Killington PeterB14 : Just heard from my OPC - original July build date delayed to October - first of four cars. for all Spyders? I can see that argument for the technology dating, just a bit surprised to see it evident so soon. I had no particular preference for the gearbox when buying mine and would of happily had either at the time, and in no way am I knocking the cars that are PDK, but it does seem that the system is not shaking off the 'automatic' tag.

Thanks Andrew. I shall contact my OPC to see what they say. Don't mind too much about delay if I get confirmed info on build date.ORIGINAL: Andrew Killington PeterB14 : Just heard from my OPC - original July build date delayed to October - first of four cars. for all Spyders? That was my original post. I had previously been told I had the first of their 3 cars and it was a July build. Until mid last week that was the case and when I asked for confirmation they then said all dates had been withdrawn. On Friday new dates were uploaded and the July date moved to October, plus they had an additional x1 car allocation so therefore 4 in total - all with build dates this year.ORIGINAL: H14PDBThanks Andrew. So when will PCGB have a show car for us to all see in the flesh as it doesn't sound like July date will now be met unless its a pre-production example [&o]ORIGINAL: DarrellWilson I had previously been told I had the first of their 3 cars and it was a July build. I hear they have reverted to old working practices to produce limited production cars such as the new Spyder. Why the consistent negative comments on peoples current and prospective cars, seems so childish...all the time? Didn't you have a mk1 Elise?, nothing like the roof on my mk1 111s, that was literally camping (when you could find the allen key) compared to the Boxster roof!

But that does look a mess inside though!also the front roof looks ugly and clumsy!not impressed at all!but maybe it's not the finished article!
Because Mr D ordered the wrong model a GT4 [][] Tin Top no wind in the hair, £4k more than base Spyder, which did get the 3.8L after all, and while the GT4 comes with 2 armchairs the Spyder has his favoured must have buckets as standard GT4's will be as common as cack compared to the Spyder [8D] All in all a bad callORIGINAL: clubsport Why the consistent negative comments on peoples current and prospective cars, seems so childish...all the time?
