Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

ORIGINAL: Nattyboy Spotted that (but then I am checking several times a day for one lol). Very strong money for a PDK car ? Maybe SOR ?
PDK'scost circa £2800 more new and sell used for same price as a manual so all in all it seems to have been priced at the current OTT prices[:D] I think all the current stock cars are confirming once you go over circa £42/43k the cars seem to have stalled![&o]

Spyders with the right options tend to get snapped up pretty quickly…… Namely, Carbon folding buckets, Sport chrono (In conjunction with PDK), Switchable sports exhaust, Correct Spyder alloys, Navigation and most importantly A/C.
That looks a really good deal.

utter crap, manuals sell easier than the pdk and although pdk cost more new manuals tend to sell slightly for more all things being equal! a lot of cars have come to the market that have stalled are high miles, multi owner, poor condition or bad spec. ie no pse,s/s,pcm or chrono wrong wheels and wrong chairs!pdk or manual a low miles spyder with buckets and spyder wheels will always command a higher price!and imho the said car ticks all the right boxes and if a pdk is sort after then is the right sort of money if it is a late build as well as late registration!

How many Spydermen would order PCM if speccing their own car up - On the official used car locator for 981 Boxsters surprisingly run out at 2/3rd with! despite the outrageous cost[]

i think adding PCM or air con by most people is only done with a view to resale not owernship, followed by second owners that think the same. i use neither the "radio" not the air con i my daily not the "radio" in the Spyder. i did come via Caterham and Atom so even a roof is a bit much for me

Can someone help me out on a PSE question ? Some PSE cars I've been looking at have basic black silencers and some have the (much nicer) chrome 'crimped' affairs (larger?) was this an option ?

Both those items were a must for me, resale irrelevant. Came from an air cooled 911 without both and really wanted them.

Not sure if this has been read on Pistonheads: Some German dude said this on another forum: Hallo to everyone from Germany. Couldn't resist to drop a line. Please excuse if my english isn't perfect. I ordered a Spyder here in Germany with a slot for September this year. The first Spyders will be arriving at Porsche Exklusive Showroom beginning of July. There're currently NO Spyders at any showroom in Germany. NONE, Zilch, ZIP............ NADA The car simply won't be available at any dealership, cause all slots for Germany are sold. Yep, you got it right - SOLD OUT. There's a similar Porsche Forum in Germany where Spyder Owners/Buyers exchange infos. In our opinion the total qty. of Spyders for Germany is less than 240 !!! - and an estimated 550 worldwide. If you got an allocation - you're lucky. The pictures you've been seeing here from Spyders, running on German roads were partially taken by members of the Forum and posted there. There are currently 3 cars running on German streets as "Press-Cars" for Press presentations. There won't be any serial production car available anywhere to be seen before July. The ones of you who got a July slot, will be served with Spyders around the same time as here in Germany. @ all Owners - Congratulations on buying the Spyder

Great stats if true "but" 240ish for Germany, 120ish for UK leaves less than 200 for the rest of the world[:D] Maybe they left a (1)550 off the calculation as USA must be good for 800 cars +++[8D]
