It's quite weird that we all seem to get obsessed with mileage - under normal rules a 4 year old car with 30k miles would be viewed as a low miles, under used car that deserves to fetch good money. In the Spyder world it's viewed as a car that only deserves the lowest price we've seen for some time even though it has the most desirable spec - manual, Spyder wheels, buckets, PSE etc. I think the new owner will be feeling delighted, in a few years time the price margin between this car and the highest will be a lot closer than the c33% differential in this deal. Personally I think this was a bargain at this money!

Are Spyders Becoming Extinct At OPCs!

Bit harsh on the prices imo. £38k was private money(but it might have taken a few weeks and an offer) and £35k imo was trade. £36k was a bargin like every one said, but as I said that's above trade and it sold the same day, selling cars is hassle if it goes on for months. Quite a few people inc me always put cars up above trade just to see if it will sell for a few £k more, and in this case it did, no one likes part ex prices.ORIGINAL: daro911I agree 36k was private money all the way trade today I reckon it was 32k maxORIGINAL: MrDemon £40k for a 30k mile car, no way. I know the price the OPC was going to retail that if it got traded and it was sub £40k even from the OPC. lets see if it pop ups private in which case the buyer did ok, or a dealer at £39k It was to cheap yes but still above trade so the seller must be happy to get a very fast sale above his trade bid.
ave car miles is 12k , Ave Porsche car miles is 8k, rarer cars miles is 4k. So yes while ave miles for a Porsche , it was above for a Spyder. yes the buyer got a deal ;-) £2k under priced imo.ORIGINAL: DarrellWilson It's quite weird that we all seem to get obsessed with mileage - under normal rules a 4 year old car with 30k miles would be viewed as a low miles, under used car that deserves to fetch good money. What do you mean ! red does not work?? I am sure John and I will beg to disagree [] [] I was at a car show and several people commented it looked stunning in RED .It's all down to personnel choice at the end of the day would be sad world if we all drove around in the same colour of cars .Glad you got fixed up in the end and just in time for the summer ! Show us some photos when you get it but they all look the same in White [][] [][][]ORIGINAL: Nattyboy Saw that as soon as it came on - did look a bit grubby on the interior pics though. still a great deal but I don't think the red works - especially interior wise. Pick up mine tomorrow - pics to follow - thanks again for the advice and support guys !

No offence kitchen ! Still a cracking looker just not for me on red - as you say it would be a dull world if we all drove around in the same things mate ! I think a red one would look great with black wheels btw ? Plus I have garage full of red Italian things so need a change lol
Red Italian rusty things [] Good luck with the Spyder & welcome to our web[]ORIGINAL: Nattyboy Plus I have garage full of red Italian things so need a change lol
There isn't a roof[] It's a suncap & scarf best left in the boot have never used mine in anger in 4 years of Spydering [8D] If you ever want a garage queen buy one of mineORIGINAL: Nattyboy By the way - what do you guys use for cleaning and preserving the hood - I'm familiar with the auto glym kit but just wondered if there were any other good recommendations ?
When mine's not garaged I use a waterproof half outdoor car cover (size XS) from Classic Additions - great value about £40. https://www.classicadditions.com/car-covers/outdoor-car-covers/waterproof-half.html I've been really pleased with it - we use it when overnighting in car parks to keep off rain, prying eyes, bird cr+p etc. Less than a minute to pop on and just gives you that extra protection layer. Folds up really easily and lives in rear boot..
do you have a 458 ?ORIGINAL: Nattyboy Sadly mine won't fit in the garage so dont have the luxury of leaving it in the garage with the roof off :-(
