Yep you're right. It was clear from the outset you were a serious buyer and my only ever private car sale went smoothly [] https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.asp?m=819908ORIGINAL: tyinskyGood point. Tyres, brakes, major service, possibly a warranty along with other little bits that may need a bit of a tidy up after almost 5-years – makes the price a lot different. When I sold my last Porsche I lost count of the amount of people who didn't seem to have an understanding of the market (which, in fairness how would most people know). Whole afternoons taken up showing people, answering questions, listening to offers I'd got no intention of taking. Sold for full asking in relatively little time but weeding out the nonsense is a job in itself. Last two (proper) cars I've bought have involved me being pushy to jump the viewing order, doing as much due diligence as I can within a short period (no PPI on either), and getting the money in someones hand without haggling. All that happens in a matter of hours. If you really want something...ORIGINAL: MrDemon 95% of Buyers are thick though and just see that headline price. just a case of weeding out the guys who want the best spec for the cheapest price on any car for sale. Just about being firm and saying "this car is not for you I think, go and buy the £38k car" buyers do my head in , unless you get a real enthusiast then you find price is not the issue to much and they see the car for what it is at that price. any more than 2 emails I normally write the buyer off, real buyers want to see the car the next day and will commit that day most of the time.
Still enjoying it flat6. Has a fair bit more mileage on it now.ORIGINAL: flat6Yep you're right. First viewing for me tonight at OPC Mayfair []ORIGINAL: jdpef356 First view of new Spyder today - anyone going to FOS? Don't forget your camera[]
John is correct it has been in the public domain for sometime now Porsche will be showing both Spyder & GT4 @ FOSORIGINAL: Boxster7 Hi John Are you sure the "Boxster Spyder" will be at the FOS... Not just that plain old 918 ??? I'm heading there tomorrow, but haven't seen mention of the Boxster Spyder anywhere. Cheers
Two Spyders were due to arrive at FOS for today, one for the static display and another they were using to drive the hill. However the delays at Calais meant they didn't arrive in time. Apparently they will be in place for visitors from tomorrow. Sods law, today was the only day I could get there. Yellow GT4 looked good, GT3RS in your face, 918 Spyder stunning.ORIGINAL: daro911John is correct it has been in the public domain for sometime now Porsche will be showing both Spyder & GT4 @ FOSORIGINAL: Boxster7 Hi John Are you sure the "Boxster Spyder" will be at the FOS... Just Got back and Gutted would be the polite version![] However, I did see White Spyder in car park (field) which had obviously been driven down hard and had gathered a record number of fly's on it! ------------- Rumour has it Porsche arrived at Goodwood opened by the back doors of the transporter and the Spyder had gone.[] However, none of the twenty men who jumped from the back of the transporter were prepared to comment as they absconded into the Sussex countryside! You went to the wrong location for Spydermen should have come with me[] OK roofs a doddle, soundtrack awesome, in the flesh even more special looking than the original, interior superb and roof lining fine, clutch action nice and light unlike the GT4 rumor mill which claims its heavy! that must be because its a GT car [] Can't wait to drive oneORIGINAL: jdpef356 Just Got back and Gutted would be the polite version![]
Well that could have been, probably was, mine. Wouldn't say driven hard, enthusiastically might be a better word.[] Like you, a 'little' disappointed not to see the 981.ORIGINAL: However, I did see White Spyder in car park (field) which had obviously been driven down hard and had gathered a record number of fly's on it!
