Another 981 up at Cameron Sports cars with PCCB looks mega in white with Yellow brakes and stitching, £89k

Looks like the overs are too much yet again for the flippers :-( it's going to be a lot harder to get GT porkers going forward.

most are £15 to £20k over now this one looks like £19k overs so seems the norm to me.

With so many GT4's for sale right now I think they will have to come back down to earth price wise if the flippers really want to sell as ever supply and demand is a fine balance especially when asking for a hefty premium [&:]

Comment from the other side of the pond and short review with a surprising end!

Finally heard the 718 Boxster S this weekend. With PSE. What can I say, not that shabby but there is nothing left of that flat six sound. How would I describe it? At idle, very VW Beetle like (classic models) and loud and when accelerating, it is a mixture of flat six and Macan Turbo with PSE. Loud, sporty but weird sound you need to get used to. The car is definitely not quiet, so no worries here but the sound sounds artificial, especially those spitting noises which are in my opinion a bit too much. So overall, not bad at all but whoever has a GTS or Spyder, should consider himself very lucky.

The reg number of the Sapphire Blue one is one letter different from mine so I guess it came from PC Leicester.

BTW can whoever is keeping the tally put me down as 'new', please?

from PDvla updated figures to 31/12/2015 today so here is a quick spread from DVLA stats. VEH0160Deliveries/registered new for first time

Gt4. 225

Spyder. 80

Still not enough made what ever the tally of Boxster Spyders I know people who can't get one no more orders being taken.

Seems mad to me after all the development costs why not fulfill orders if wanted madness.

Cliff wind the clock back to 237 Spyders in 2010/11 run and at least half of these were ex PEC, ex Demo and ex stock! dealer spec unwanted orders. In April 2011 3 months before production stopped (pretty much where we are right now) my brother managed a £5k discount off his fresh factory February ordered Spyder and could have got over £6000 on a stock car

I would say once bitten twice shy and this time Porsche have done the exercise perfectly enough cars to demand full list price and at the same time allow a small premium on low to no miles examples

The real interest will be when cars come to the market with say 10k plus miles over the next 2 years

Right now the original and many say best Spyder's with low miles are circa original list price excluding any ticked boxes and high milers whilst being in the mid 30's are a good £10k+ more than an equivalent age mileage spec Boxster S which shows a nice recovery considering how unpopular the car was when readily available back in the day

jdpef356 my guess will be circa 150-170 Spyders and 450-500 GT4's come final cars in July

Hi Rob.

Times have changed since 2010 a lot of Boxster Spyders and CR were unsold or hard to shift at that particular period.

Porsche have not made enough this time around to fill requests with returned deposits and intents.

On both Boxster Spyder and GT4.

Sorry the premium on so called flipped cars is a big chunk of cheese a step to far for some certainly myself included Boxster Spyders and GT4 Spyders circa 90k GT4 circa 100k. Yes some have loads of options but not everyones cuppa or within ones budget.

The allocation on such models has been appauling in my view but don't get me started .

Next Gen needs to be made asap or roll out some more to keep customers happy or I fear people will move away from the brand.

People who have been lucky enough to secure such models and good luck to them might disagree but spare a thought for the unlucky souls with returned deposits and intents.

Regards.

Cliff.

I would not buy a new car at £75k and would wait for it to be over 12 months old and £60k

So the overs has allowed me to order and buy a GT4 new.
