] So the Silver 981 is a saving of £40k
The Silver one is still a £67k retail car and £64k private sale car imo. but I guess he would take a lower offer.

That spec lists at £80 to £81k plus road tax. It’s pretty close to the spec I have in mind, but so far been unable to get any of the 3 OPC’s I deal with to take an order for! However, there’s no way I’ll be paying overs, so I’ll stick with my 987 until times change. It’s just such a shame that the OPC network is playing the game in the interim.daro911 said:One nearer to home has popped up now [8D]

Sounds like a perfect conversion to improve this flaw on EU spec cars if he is correct

Chris I think this is the answer:-
The JCR Titanium Valved Race Pipe is a full direct replacement product for the OEM 718 GT4 and Spyder rear silencer assembly. No fabrication required, simply remove the factory rear silencer and replace with the JCR Valved Race Pipe.
Our system includes titanium tips which are fixed on v-band clamps. Not only does this ensure perfect alignment every time it also allows quick changes at the track to our optional Titanium Silenced Tips which reduce sound levels by a further 6-7dB ensuring that all owners who plan to use their cars on track will have no concerns about excessive noise levels on strict track events.
Good point Jeff but my cruising is strictly on our boulevards these days another reason (subject to a test drive) I believe the 981 to be much more user friendly on the streets than the GT4 convertible version now on offer something I have heard from 2 owners and one big GT used car seller [:'(]Motorhead said:Rob/Chris,
I think that it's worth mentioning that one upside of the GPF fitment is that there are less likely to be problems with noise levels when using both the 718 GT4 and Spyder on track compared with the 981-series cars.
Jeff
All 3 concluded as a track car 718 Spyder runs rings around 981 but as a street car its completely the opposite experience[8D]

Talking to a number of dealers I could not believe the trade in prices. Decided to change approach and tried an Aston dealer with a Porsche centre in their company books. Was completely bowled over when they offered the lowest trade in ever at £29k. Obviously told them where to go.
My spyder has only 14k miles and is manual, sport chrone, PSE, buckets so not exactly a very undesirable spec.
Only reason I can think of the low price is that the OPC buyer was trying to pay off his extremely large xmas credit card bill at my expense thinking I would be stupid enough to accept that price!!!
