With respect if we had a forum register and register for each specific we would be overun.
Each register strives to cater for each specific I know the Boxster Register has included each specific over the years.
Enjoy. [

So reduce some of the existing ones. The problem is keep adding without a structured logic. Why have a new register for each new 911 - should be air and water thats it. Im afraid not having a Spyder one makes no sense whatsoever.
Im now in a boxster after the Spyder and would be quite happy to roll all Boxsters and Caymans into one including 718. Roll Spyders and speedsters into a seperate one.
Significant others like RS GT3 /GT4 should be combined or separate depending on the numbers. What is the point in having a register which has virtually no members.
You get the idea it needs an overhaul.
I do not accept Cliff's argument. If a particular model generates regular posts and conversation, then it should be seriously considered for its own (sub-)forum.
Picking on what 'legin' posted, I had a look at the forum model structure and, sure enough, 911's are split into 'Air-cooled' and 'Water-cooled'. However, it is when you look at the Sub-forums that the issue becomes less justifiable.
There is a standalone '356' forum
'911 Air-cooled' has 12 sub-forums:
Early 911
911 2.7
911 SC
911 3.2 Carrera
912
914
030 (911 Turbo)
964
964RS
993
993 RS
Speedster
'911 Watercooled' has 5 sub-forums
996 (inc Turbo)
997 (inc Turbo(
991 (inc Turbo)
GT3
992 (inc Turbo)
'924, 928,944,968) has 4 sub-forums
924
928
944
968
'Cayenne, Macan, Panamera' has 3 sub-forums
Cayenne
Macan
Panamera
'Carrera GT, 918 Spyder, 959' has THREE sub-forums
Carrera GT
918 Spyder
959
'Taycan' is a stand-alone forum.
Just looking at the 'Carrera GT, 918 Spyder, 959' forum:
The 'Carrera GT' sub-forum contains the grand total of ONE topic!!!
'918 Spyder' has NONR
'959; has NONE
A quick look at the '911 Air-cooled forum shows the following topic counts for the sub-forums
Early 911 - 17
911 2.7 -three
911 SC -13
911 3.2 Carrera -two pages of posts
912 - six
914 - five
930 (911 Turbo) - six
964 - seven
964RS - 14
993 - 428
993 RS - five
Speedster - two
The 'Boxster, Cayman' forum;
Boxster - 6868 topics
Cayman - 2400 topics
And the 'Boxster Spyder' forum (i.e the "Are Spyders becoming extinct st OPC's!" topic has 928 pages of posts, comprising 19,160 individual posts!!!!!!
Not sure how many Cayman GT4 posts may be lurking in the 'Cayman' sub-forum
Sorry, but to my eyes there is a distinct imbalance here. And it seems that the forum managers jast cannot be a**ed to make a change for something that is not a 911. Or, can they justify it?
