I must admit, I am torn.

As a 981 Spyder owner I am all in favour of these ridiculously high 'flipped' prices, as it can only serve to strengthen the values of 987 and 981 Spyders

But another side of me would like to see such flippers suffering severely burnt fingers. What an odious practice

I'm sure many of us agree with you but Porsche Cars GB do not seem to want to intervene.

I would have thought that it would be very simple to not allow anyone who sold within, say, two years of purchase, to buy another "special" / limited edition vehicle. But these "preferred" customers keep on being allowed to do it.

Does anyone feel strongly enough to initiate a petition against this practice to give to PCGB?

Should check VIN to see if fuel line recall necessary!
I thought the recall was on GT4's only made in a different factory to Spyders and was due to a faulty assembly tool as opposed to a design fault

Please correct me if I am incorrect as I read it somewhere in the cyber world so could easily be fake facts:ROFLMAO:

We may not like this practice but a petition would fall on deaf ears as Porsche HQ are fully aware of who got the cars and appear to be very relaxed at PC's being willingly involved in flipping the cars for another round of profits perhaps PCGB view it as "cheap market research" on where the price point can go to for the next generation of Spyders / GT4's :ROFLMAO:

I recently asked a question regarding final production numbers for UK Speedsters the reply a week later was nothing short of laughable hence I feel any petition wouldn't be worth the effort taken

"In response to your enquiry, the 911 Speedster is a limited production run of 1,948 vehicles for the whole world. Regrettably we do not hold exact figures for the UK allocation.

I hope this may help you moving forward and apologies we cannot provide the exact information you require.

Kindest regards"

Which does beg the question, why buy a 718 spyder at these prices (or even OPC List price) when you can get a 981 Spyder (or a 987 Spyder for that matter) that has a decent engine note and for far less money?

But, as a 981 Spyder owner, I am perhaps being a bit biased :)

Seems like a lot - what is included in your quotes Starting point for negotiation would be the fixed price rate of a little under £1000 (which should include plugs and brake fluid - less clear if it covers the belt check), I found all 4 OPCs (in the Midlands) that I contacted were prepared to offer a deal. In the end I paid less than you’ve been quoted and I pulled forward the belt and air filter change from the next service, though I did extend the warranty at the same time. PM me if you’d like specifics.

Funnily enough I have just been alerted to the differences in pricing for the 4th year service due in May on my car

At year 2 I went to East London who were circa £150 cheaper than Hatfield who would not price match

Fast forward 2 years and now East London who wanted £1331.00 wouldn't price match my alternative in the very same group £995.00

So not only have Porsche lost the plot on who or who can't have certain low production number models which continually end up with flippers and some even being flipped by the supplying dealerships but now the service costs have to be thoroughly researched before you can decide who gets your business

East London did ask me for the details of which Porsche Centre who quoted me £995.00 and as I didn't come UP on the Down Train:ROFLMAO: I said of course after I have had the work done in May

You couldn't make this stuff up [&:]

Fixed price part of the expensive one was £968 but then add for the plugs, brake fluid, belt check and tyre gunk.

+£268 for the AC but dont think i have used it yet. Top always down!!!

Non OPC £795 incl plugs and belt check, + £95 for brake fluid.. Expensive OPC Stamp!!!

Someone yesterday had their 981B 4 yr at Silverstone. Said much cheaper - not tried yet.

Can you DM me the 995 on Insta? prob worth a detour

My £995 incl quote is for the 4th year service that includes plugs fluids belt check and never asked about tyre gunk as I keep Green Slime Sealant in my cars costs about £10

Try Precision Porsche in Sussex, just had my 2nd service completed today , car is 4 yrs old fixed price service £585.00 + vat, brake fluid £65.00 + vat. Excellent customer service , kept me informed and completed the M.O.T.

Green Slime Sealant in my cars costs about £10

Cheaper than Porsche at £40!!!

bet it still wreaks the rim though if you use it.

Are you out of Warranty yet. Or does an OPC stamp not matter. Does it have much effect on values later??
