Cayman GT4: Where are we up to now?

ORIGINAL: MrDemon Chris Harris on cars vid is live. He loves it and sells it well, makes you want one for sure. ...Autocar vid is live now, a very very good review to make you want one.
Mr D is being convinced by the views of journalists? I must be getting old ;). Frank

lol true, I normally never agree with them lol just frustrating waiting, so to see one is exciting ...

Rather poor customer service D but as I said before, you'll probably have to wait until Geneva closes on Sunday for Porsche to do the final tally. Porsche has chosen yellow as its launch colour for a reason....it's very eye-catching. With the exception of black [thankfully! - deathly dull], I think that we've seen images of most of the available standard colours, but someone on P-9 has posted [#97] a rendering of the GT4 in Mexico blue: http://www.planet-9.com/981-chat/105002-what-do-you-want-know-about-gt4-5.html Looks very nice and would be an unusual, if expensive [3k?], choice. We all have our individual colour preferences but I reckon that the GT4 looks good in all the pics. Pity you don't have the luxury of viewing all the colour options in the flesh. Jeff

Looks like a GT3 to me Jeff, did you confuse the one with the rear engine for the real deal? Chris

my fave colour, the biggest issue bar not being able to place an order ! is not liking any of the colours. Peridot is so cool when it's clean and the sun it out. out of intetest how was the yellow GT3 with flies ? it's seems a know issue and you do see cars with 300 flies on during summer, even white when polished I get 6 or 7 always on it. but just don't fancy a fly magnet.

Nope. You've got the wrong pic Chris. Go up the page to post #97 to see the GT4 rendered in Mexico blue [the small pic]. Jeff

Well known fact that yellow cars attracts more flies That's why Ferrari call theirs giallo fly [:D]

Very nice review of GT4 here: https://grrc.goodwood.com/road/drives-and-rides/video-chris-harris-drives-porsche-cayman-gt4? ...if only it came with PDK...

Have just watched this. I know you'll all have watched it already, but was interesting to see how adjustable the suspension is and some adjustments on aero too. I think even I would have a tinker with that [:)] So is this car going to become a legend, or as the review intimates, serve to reiterate how good the GT3 is? I guess only those who will have had both will get to find out...

But with this it will be great to have a tussle with a fairly well driven GT3 .... [;)] A well driven GT3 needs sorting with the McLaren [:)][:)]

Yet another glowing GT4 review plus even more pics: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/1503_2016_porsche_cayman_gt4_first_drive/#ixzz3UPyO279q Jeff

no one in the UK has paid the 10% deposit yet at this rate I doubt you will see real Spyders in peoples hands till next year. last thing I want is a car taking up space in Sept ! won't get used for 8 months.

I am happy to take a 981 Spyder in 2016 so I can continue to enjoy my current one for next 12 months works fine for me Have never known Porsche to launch models so far in advance of customers getting their actual cars - They have plenty of GT4 press cars out there today so why isn't actual production started[&o]
