GT Legends

You'll be pleased to learn that Mr Competitive has just "obtained" a new Graphics card and will nip to PC world tonight.......so get ready for some ass kicking!

OK folks, I have been working from home myself today...[FONT=verdana,geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I have TeamSpeak running on one server and a dedicated game server running on another. Please download the Teamspeak client from http://www.goteamspeak.com/downloads.php and point it to fen.game-host.org with a password of PCGBFORUM - note uppercase.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]The game is running on the same url and with the same password - choose multiplayer and then LANDirect IP rather than internet.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I'd really appreciate someone confirming if it all works or not as I can only test it locally from home.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Hi fen,

The TeamSpeak works, but I can't get GT2 Connected. It shows no games available in the LAN/Direct IP List, and you can't type in the url, as you can't use "-". Not even sure if you can use an alias rather than a direct IP?

Or am I just thick....

Thanks Carl. Try the IP address that the url points to then (it's just to make it easier to remember): 212.159.18.156 [FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Nope can't get in there.

I can see the game running but it has a ping of 0, when I try I get as far as entering the password, then it stops. I've tried with my firewall diabled too [:(]

Blummin computers - we may have to join a public server tomorrow unless we can sort this out

It works for me seeing it as a LAN game and I need to enter the password so it can't be that. I've just been blatting around Donny in a Mustang (on Pro difficulty [&:]) waiting to see if anyone can join.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]That sounds like what happened when we tried it on Sunday. Thinking about it Carl, have you set up an on-line account so you can play on a public server? You might be getting stuck at not having a profile if not.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I'll see if I can Google any help.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I have set up - my mistake. I'm at the same point as Paul, I can see the server, but it just doesn't do anything when I enter the password.

Dave if you buy the game from PC World then do a 'collect from store' from the website as it drops the price to 27.99

What I forgot to say regarding Teamspeak is that if you have speakers and a mic on your PC (I use headphones with a boom mic) then you need to set it up under the settings|input/output settings to use "push to talk" and choose a suitable key otherwise every noise out of the speakers sets off the voice activated mic and plays it out to all the other people, including echoing wgat they are asying back to them.

I just broadcast the server in the lobby so it appears as a grey option in the server list if you go to the Multiplayer Internet option. I can get into it through that so I wonder if any of you can this time?

Found it! I was forwarding the wron TCP port. Duh! Should work now without the lobby part (i.e. direct IP)

Nice to see Fen and Carl at Spa. I think there is something wrong with the tyres they sold Carl [;)]

Maybe see you later
