GT Legends

Eventually got everything working then ran out of time but looking forward to tomorrow. When I left Carl must have sold his tyres to Fen[:D]

Oi![FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Not exactly a close race with Carl just now; 30 seconds in it. Even what thought was a melting hot lap was 2 tenths behind Carl's best (but we both took 2 seconds out of our qualifying times).[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]We need to get a decent amount of people though because 2 or 3 isn't really enough. Maybe later this evening? Also a one-make 'Tina or Mini race might be fun.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Sounds like a good plan to me.

I vote Cortina's, but then again I would!

Any time in mind?

Just like to point out I have a job interview tomorrow, and you lot are destroying my preperation!!!

Or is it just cos I'm easily distracted!

Cortinas sound good to me. We need to get some practice in before Davyboy gets installed (he used to be pretty nippy at the old GP Legends). I can be along at 7:30

7:30 sounds good to me.

If we keep the races short, it'll give more people a chance to join, and mean that people won't have to wait to long if they fall waaaaay behind.

I might struggle to get another go tonight. How long do you want the races? It's 8 laps just now, you want 5 or something? It also has 8 minutes practice and 8 mins qualifying but obviously you can vote to move on

Just managed to get an early xmas pressent, so I need a few hours of practice (and no wheel and peddle set as yet, so powersliding with a keyboard anyone???). But I'll catch you up shortly....

I hope to be joining in pretty soon - judging by the quick test drive I had last night I will be needing a few hours' practice first though!

I might be around later but I have some stuff to do first. Won't be this side of 8pm whatever.

Any chance you could set up a server for us to practice on until we start the race at 8ish?

After the past few nights I think it's best if we stick to the easy cars - minis, Cortinas and Alfa on the short tracks - Anderstorp, Mugello. That way people can't fall too far behind. It's also probably best if we stick to short races (say 6 laps) so that once again if you crash out, blow up or get lost it;s not too long to wait until the next race.

Once we're all used to the game we can set up a strict championship with dates and tracks

I will try and join somtime after 8 - got a wheel today and still trying to configure it !!
No talking yet - a "borrowed headset" on the way.
You can all give me a thrashing later on - its about 30 years since I last played computer games.

I wonder if it's your knitted steering wheel that makes you faster..?[FONT=verdana,geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Actually I need to spend time setting up as I took a second a lap off my Mondello time by tweaking the shocks, but you and Dave are going to tell me you just run the cars as they come out of the box, aren't you?[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Well I drop the fuel and drop the brakes to 60% front but apart from that I use the default.

until you told me that 90% diff trick and I gained a second a lap - cheers [:D]

Yeah, I drop the fuel too. It would have been nice if 5 laps worth had actually lasted more than 3 laps so I didn't have to park on the infield when I was leading. I blame my pit crew...

So with me averaging between 3 and 120 seconds a lap slower do you think its my diff or my suspension.[:D]

Or maybe I should stick to space invaders ( i was good at that).

I do tend to get a bit obsessive with a new toy and in the absence of a real car at the moment [:(][:(] I do admit that I have been playing this thing every day until way past midnight since Sunday [8|]

I just join the 'Mini madness' or 'Drift Kings' races and play them again and again and again
