Jeremy Clarkson -wtf

GO JC GO JC GO GO JC GO JC GO .......

I like the man ...I know he's an old twit and i think the lorry driver comment was OTT but then that should have been edited from the final showing .

Hey guys,

It is a general discuss about your opinion of the JC incident. There is no need to take personal offence.

BTW, an interesting read from the 'Scotsman' re the JC incident ...
http://news.scotsman.com/leaders/Clarkson-apology-does-not-go.4957215.jp

A very interesting article - especially the references to A.A. Gill and public school.[:D] The trouble is that Clarkson is always digging himself a hole to fall into but he never seems to pay up for his comments. I think that it is annoying when others make relatively benign and innocuous comments and loose their jobs over it. It does seem as though there are double standards here, having said that it does make you wonder who they'd replace Ross, Clarkson and Moyles with if they sacked them all...? Maybe that's why they're being so (seemingly) lenient?

Hi Graham. I note your thoughts.

Giving an opinion about someone's ability to present a television programme is one thing. Insinuating that someone uses drugs is another - particularly when you've no idea who you're referring to...

I was mentally preparing a retort to your drivel - but then I noticed that you drive a yellow car. Which you've borrowed money to buy.

I'd say you've got enough on your plate as it is.

Adrian.

Take a chill pill Adrian, lifes too short for falling out with starngers [:D]

Starngers? If I did take drugs I probably would take one! [;)]

Spelling edited. Time to behave the moderator has been more than decent, lets kiss and make up Adrian.

Can you advise what substance you are on, I would easy off its distorting your perspective. Maybe you and Charlie should both lie down in a darkened room. [:-]

I think I may found the answer of what kind of people likes JC. [:)]
See the similarities?

Yawn....................

Surely `nuff said by now [:(]zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

As far as I am concerned the whole world is mad. Why oh why are we so taken by celebrities and their opinions. When I grew up we looked up to real heroes not TV personalities. Who really cares what they say, you wont stop it as decency and taste are dumbed down to match the poor schooling and education.

The bottom line is that whatever is said we have been truly shafted by this government (in particular G Brown) and will remain so for a generation as will our kids.

I`ll have to admit that my daily thoughts are with the troops abroad not celebrities.

Ho hum................

Blown up by a media jealous of those at the top of the media tree (Brand, Ross and Clarkson). Don't get me started on that waste of space at #10 or the previous occupant.

An American doctor said, 'Medicine in my country is so advanced, we can take a kidney out of one person, put it in another, and have him looking for work in six weeks'.

A German doctor said, 'That's nothing! In Germany, we can take a lung out of one person, put it in another, and have him looking for work in four weeks'.

A Russian doctor said, 'In my country medicine is so advanced, we can take half a heart from one person, put it in another, and have them both looking for work in two weeks'.

The English doctor, not to be outdone, said 'Hah!. We can take two a******* out of Scotland, put them in 10 & 11 Downing Street and have half the country looking for work within twenty-four hours'.

Sorry if that offends anyone but trying to lighten the mood.........

Ooh aren't we having fun here. This whole episode is indicative of a fickle sensationalist media competing for favourable opinion. After seeing Clarkson's documentary on Operation Chariot i get the feeling he's just angry that such a great nation is now ruled by hyper PC chelpers who think the nanny state is a good idea. People police eachothers behaviour way too much these days, overtake someone doing 40MPH in a national speed limit zone and you'll see what i mean. Ye Olde England is dead, welcome to modern Europe.

And the thinng is we all laugh at this joke yet when JC says similar all hell breaks loose!

[pause for thought]
In addition i've become disillusioned as to what this country stands for, we had the Luftwaffe dropping into the channel like flies but yet the euro trendy wendys have snatched this country away from right under our noses.

We now live in the age of people relaxing on benefits when they're not blowing the place to pieces and this country will not maintain any sort of national identity unless the angry ones among us like Clarkson are prepared to make themselves heard.

We're dealing with a wider issue here, this is the tip of the iceberg.

Sorry, i just wholeheartedly agree with rebellious behaviour in order to show the bureaucrats that no matter how hard they try they will not successfully limit peoples behaviour. Like on saturday when i drifted my car round a grass island at the empty end of a park carpark, just to show that neither road safety indoctrination advertisements nor the snotty disapproving looks of bechildrened dogwalkers shall limit my enjoyment of snow.

Other vehicle manouveurs are available

So when are the Scottish going to appologise for sending us Gordon Brown then? [:D]

On behalf of Scottish people I formally apologise for Gordon Brown; he is inexcusable. I suspect he left of his own accord, but could you blame (resident) Scots for sending him off if they did?

Somewhat tongue in cheek, I wonder whether GB is a good reason for Home Rule and Independence for Scotland with a very big wall to keep Scottish politicians away from the rest of us.

After all, Scottish MPs can and do vote on any issues involving England, but English MPs cannot vote on Scottish matters.

One law for them and another for us?

Still, I suppose that Scottish MPs can claim their expenses and allowances for coming down to London, make a tax-free profit out of taxpayer's money, and not pay the Capital Gains Tax which applies to the the rest of us. Something about porcine creatures and troughs comes to mind. Although whether this applies to most of our politicians is another matter altogether.

I can't help but agree with that. I'm more than happy to engage in a bit of Scottish / English banter, but I have no time for those (almost exclusively Scots I'm sorry to say) who take it seriously, nor do I support independence for Scotland as I have always believed it does pretty well out of the union.

Further I think you have to be all or nothing and this whole Scottish (and Welsh & Irish) Assembly thing is nonsense that should never have been allowed to happen. At the very least it's only right that there should be an English Assembly to balance it, but better would be to have one country, one government. Central government and local council is plenty of expensive bureaucracy.

Perhaps this is a complex plot made by public servants in cahoots with the politicians to ensure that they all have well-paid and very safe jobs [for life in the case of public servants] and even greater control over citizens whilst our control and scrutiny of their activities is shrouded in mystery and secrecy. I suppose this is what happens when one separates power and responsibility. Civil and public servants have the power, the politicians are supposed to have the responsibility - but watch them run for the hills when they are asked to account for their decisions ...

I seem to recall an episode of Yes Minister or Yes Prime Minister on this very issue. Funny how real life and satirical humour meet?

To be honest, we'd like to send him away too! Want him back? We'll pay! [:D]

This was highlighted in a Radio 4 broadcast when it was pointed out that everyone talked about one eyed and Scotish but none about being an idiot-- Hmmm is this a general perception about the man that runs this country.
