Here's mine....💙💙

It's been 6 years since my last Porker (964 Targa), but here's my new 997 GTS PDK in matching GP white with black wheels. [attachment=IMG_4713.JPG]

After having owned a seal grey 997.1 C4S for a total of nine weeks I've chopped it in and bought a new toy. I've spent the last two weekends scaring myself s**tless. These things are a bit quick. I haven't stopped grinning yet.

Lovely car and, as you say, very quick indeed! [8D]

If you're not yet fully confident, it would benefit you to have some training in order to get the best from it. [;)]

Many options are available, dependant on geographical location and budget. Some contenders I'm aware of (in no particular order) are PDE at Silverstone, CAT Driver Training at Millbrook, and Gary Marsh "A Need For Speed" at Castle Combe .

Thanks, Clive.

Yes, I'm booking myself onto a course run by Total Control Driving. In the meantime I'm taking it relatively easy. It's rather a step up from my Boxster and C4S.

Hi guys, had the car a couple of years now and absolutely love it. came from a Maserati 4200cc and this car does so much more.

have some plans for it, but that will be later.

Hi Guys,

I'm into my 5th hour of Gen 2 C4S ownership and I'm smiling like a madman.

I purchased from Solihull a 2011 Gen 2 in black with lots of goodies. Traded up from a 981 Black Edition Cayman.

4 owners/23,000 miles.

Look forward to chatting soon!

Darren

Finally got my first Porsche. After yearning for a 930 Whale tail turbo as a boy I am finally in a position to get one. After a serious accident (not my fault) resulting in a below knee right leg amputation and left leg about as useless, I need hand controls and an auto gearbox.....so I have just bought a 997.2 turbo! Omg...the smile is so broad. 500bhp literally at my little fingertip! Many miles of happy mileage to come I'm sure. Plus the need to learn from the experts (if there are any one legged turbo experts out there) how to drive it. Considering going to Porsche for their "warm up" session.

Good choice of motor......

Congratulations! It's stunning. I got myself a GT silver Cab version a few weeks ago. They're astonishing cars - I'm fours weeks in now and I haven't stopped grinning either.

Hello All

Thought I would introduce myself to the 997 club. I have rejoined the PCGB as I have previously owned a 991 C4S. In a months time I am collecting my 'DREAM CAR'. Ever since I was small I have always wanted to own a Turbo and I am now lucky enough to about to own one. Its a 997 Turbo and I cant wait to drive it!!

Clive you mentioned about training for the Turbo, thats inspired me and I am going to look in to this too! I spoke to Porsche in silverstone training centre and they only have 991 turbo's on their courses but I will take a look at your suggestions

I am really looking forward to getting involved in some good chats on the forum and hopefully meet some of you at the Club get togethers

Thanks

Hi Richard,

997 Turbo is a very fine car and I'm sure you will thoroughly enjoy it. Initially, as new concept, I would suggest just driving it for a couple of months to become fully conversant. You're a 911 driver anyway, so you should get to grips fairly easily.

Following this, you will be then able to tell how you would like it to drive and handle, so book a day off and get it up to Chris Franklin at Center (sic) Gravity in Atherstone for a setup session.

Once it's performing as you want it, there any number of high performance driving schools providing one to one tuition. Come back on this again later and we can always provide some useful leads for you. You should also consider left foot braking if you don't employ this already see [link=https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=783772]https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=783772[/link] Where are you based BTW?

Regards,
