Nick USA for new Regional Organiser?

As a fellow Admin I support what Paul has said already. He is eloquent isn't he?

I would hate to delete this thread because I also support what you guys are trying to do and it must be so frustrating. Just keep the personal issues out of it please.

IMHO it all boils down to leadership and management. Kish can do the honourable thing should he choose, but to remove him from the post of RO is NOT the board's decision - it is the Regional Directors decision. He has the mandate to do this.

I can see the conflict of being buddies on the board and how it may be affect their relationship, but the needs of R20 members must be heard and acted upon. Head in the sand is not an option. I do not know either of these guys very well but I am sure that they are nice enough people.

I hate to harp back to my time as Regional Director, but the roles are the same as now, and I had the difficult task of removing at least 2 ROs who failed to come up to standard. It was my job and I would have let the members and the club down if I had procrastinated this long!

The whole route of this problem going back to when The Board unceremonially dismissed a non present Adrien Ong (for NO reason only on the hear say word of the current RO) and subsequent fudging by Chris Clark is the entire making of the current situation .... simples!

This is all a matter of record .... I am sure the current RO Director has access to this information, would make his decision a lot easier ... The current London RO was put there by the Board.

I've no idea Beaky. Can't believe this thread has been going for a month and a change is so hard to bring about. Tell me guys - do I hang around west London on Monday to go to the Ace or is no one bothering to make the effort?
cheers

Think maybe meeting at the Ace would be a good idea,
then anyone who has been wondering what the heck is happening to R20 via this thread would be welcome to come and get the full story.
John

About the same time I expect to get to the ACE

We will not be able to make Monday as we wont be back in the UK until late that night.

We will however both be going to the boards EGM on the 6th.

Whilst I remember as most of the regular R20 'Fatboys' crowd will be in France on the 19th it has been suggested that we move this months meeting to the 12th.

Did I just witness a RO in waiting, in action[;)]

Will be away Monday in Vegas .... [:D]

Is this an officially sanction R20 trip!
And watch out for the "Stripe" and you know which one I'm talking about!

It is disappointing to contrast time after time a lack of events in London versus other regions in Porsche Post and otherwise. London needs a strategy and I hope that the Club recognises this productively.

I have written to the Regional Coordinator.

I support anything that re-kindles interest in this region.

Thanks for your support it's nice to hear a new voice.

Have a chat London - Brighton run guys and gals when you meet ACE, need to set a date, did part of it this morning[:D]

I have been watching this thread as an 'interested bystander" and I have a few points / questions.

What is the role of a Regional Organiser?

Is it to arrange the monthly meets and liaise with other regions with regard to meets etc, or is to to plan events. Guest speakers and some point to the meet would in my opinion be part of the job.

If a few of you want to plan to do something then surely you can go ahead and do it, you don't need to be a RO to do it.

I am on 911UK and we have a Midlands monthly meet, and if one of us fancies doing something you put a post up like "who fancies a breakfast run on Sunday"

It shouldn't have to be the RO who comes up with all the ideas.

Do any of you approach the RO and suggest something? If you do, and the RO says "no, we're not doing that" then you have something to criticise, but otherwise I cannot see the issue.
