Porsche Spotting

I paid a visit to the Stoneleigh kit car show today and spotted two 944's and an absolutely stunning two tone green 924 turbo.

Hairyarse, did I by chance spot you coming up the A15 into Bourne yesterday evening (1st May)? I was heading south in my silver 997 and although I usually wave to all fellow Porkers (including "lowly" 944s), I was distracted at the time and had passed by the time I thought to raise a hand.

[FONT=arial"]Hi Andy, noticed the Colchester location. I am restoring a 1983 924 in Mistley, she is on the road and running but work still to do. Sometimes see a white 944 around here.
Cheers Paul

Hi Paul, what colour is the 24' I will look out for you, quite often pass through Mistley on the way back from Ipswich via the backroads don't know the white 44 though.

Cheers

Hi Sanspider, I'm just down the road at Weston-super-Mud. Typical isn't it when you're driving your other car you see them but never when you're in the real car. Saw a red cabriolet last Wednesday lunchtime on the M5 at it joined the southbound from the A38 and again a red (it really is the best colour) coupe on the eastbound M4 today just west of Swindon. So they are about!

Not guilty! lol

Only just got mine back on the road last night, but wasn't around Bourne

Cheers

SIB6280 is guards red, a bit faded on the left side, I am still working away with the T-cut.
As far as I know she has never been registered in County Armagh ( IB ), I assume it is a previous owner's private plate.
She was in storage in a shed near Stowmarket for nearly 10 years. She runs very well apart from one of the exhaust manifold gaskets blowing.

I drove over 200 miles to Wales and back on Sunday, didn't see another front engined Porsche! The only friendly modern Porsche seems to be the 996 turbo owner - always seem to get a wave! [:)]

Hi Darren....the white car at Stoneleigh was mine. Carrying spare wheel and tools for my mate's Vincent...and a good excuse for a blast up the Fosse Way from Oxfordshire! What a great day for a drive.

I noticed the Hensdyk 944 based kit in one of the halls...a sort of DIY Spyker?!

I'm in Estonia on business this week, shortly after arriving today I saw....

There was no one in it to wave at, which is probably a good thing as I was on foot and they would probably think I was a nutter![:D]

I saw a very shiny (Compared to my dusty) red 944 S2 convertible on the back road from Croxley to Sarratt (Hertfordshire) yesterday. Waves exchanged.

Very shiney red Convertible on the M1 near Nottingham around lunchtime today, LHD and a UK plate F***KEV, no badging so not sure if a turbo or 3.0
Looked great - I was in the van as usual!

Popped down to Bristol for a Sales meeting today, saw nothing this morning (all sensible people still tucked up in bed) but as I overtook a Panamera Turbo on the M5 on the way back, I mused over the difference in cost to wear the same Porsche Turbo Badge on one's rear!

Saw a Red SC/3.2 with Whale-tail going South on the M42 near the A45 as I was going North

And Strangely saw 3 Morgans!!

White 944 (lux?) reg'n B20 *** on the Drove Road roundabout this morning in Weston, driving the "daily" so didn't wave.

On Sunday I got a wave from a red Boxster as I was on my way to the R19 meet-up. I was quite surprised, Boxster drivers don't normally even recognise my 944 as a Porsche.
