Porsche Spotting

ORIGINAL: Fat Albert
And Strangely saw 3 Morgans!!

There were loads of morgans out yesterday, must have been a club rally - i was down in deddington / brackley area and saw about 20.

Typically, having used porsche consistently as my "only car" for the last 2 weeks, on Weds I was in the SMax for first time since returning from hols, coming down the A5 just south of kilsby about 7pm, and a J reg white S2 went the other way. I DID have time to flash and wave, but didnt see if i got a response (why would you wave to a black ford!?)

Thursday evening 05 May, between J26 M5 Wellington and Michaelwod services north of Bristol, I ended up in company with a nice red 944 g84 xxx, made me smile a bit after a very busy week at work as I was headding home. I do alot of traveling up and down the M5 and this is the first time I have come across another 944.

Guards red 944 parked at staples garden centre near junction 12 of the M1 this morning. The plate ended 944. I was driving past so couldn't tell what flavour of 944 it was.

I passed through there at around 5:00pm on Thursday!

another 944 (2.5 0r 2.7)in black turning into, i think, queens avenue in hoylake. seeing a few lately so maybe their summer toys?

928 early car in silver turned off the M1 at Loughborough, just before he caught me up, and I was travelling swiftly in the 2.7

2nd 928 in 2 days!

Black and gleaming GT/GTS making very swift (and no doubt very smooth) progress on the M69 leaving Coventry this afternoon.

Looked superb!

I was about 8 cars back from a 928 (S4 methinks) on the M25 near Heathrow this morning, but the traffic was too heavy to get any closer before I turned onto the M4

lucky you didn't catch it !.... your ego will have been a bit deflated trying to stay with it. Even my old 1979 928 took off like a jet aircraft on steroids . Awesome acceleration to 65mph in first gear !

its the only reason i got rid of mine ![&o] I used to sit down and work out how much each journey was going to cost compared to my work mondy and it was depressing watching that needle fall as rapidly as it accelerated.[:D]

The best time I had in mine believe it or not was just pootling up the village high street on tickover with that gorgeous v8 burble turning into a fabulous roar as I accelerated away from a standstill.

944 cabrio this morning passing through Sonning. I was on the bus blocking much of the road. Won't have mine back till next week. So stuck on the bus to work till I get it back:-(

I drove over 200 miles to Wales and back on Sunday, didn't see another front engined Porsche! The only friendly modern Porsche seems to be the 996 turbo owner - always seem to get a wave! [:)]

I always wave/try to drive in convoy if I see another Porsche. Better not have been my car though as it's supposed to be sitting in a showroom in Wales!

Saw another guards red 944 heading north on the A1 between Peterborough and Stamford about 3.30pm. Only saw the top half over the armco at last minute so didn't wave, sorry! Was in my GR 944
