Porsche Spotting

Had a Pork-Fest on Tuesday when I drove from Northants down to bracknell and back!

Saw a G reg 944 S2 on the A45 near Thrapston

Saw a left-hooker 964 in pepeermint green with Duck Tail spoiler on the A45 near the M1 junction

Saw a 944 S2 in Grey heading East on the M4 as i was going West

Saw a Metallic Green 993 heading South on the M1 in the afternoon as I headed North

I was in the Jaaag.....but wishing I was back in a Porsche...

Went out this morning;
Waved at a 981 snobby old man just stared at me.
Waved at a 997 women blanked me
Waved at a 944 S2/turbo (not sure which as was on A30) waves and smiles exchanged.
Was it anyone on here? It was black heading west bound on the Hayle section toward Penzance.

Wow! thought I had double-vision today...at 13:13 on the A40 London Rd High Wycombe saw two nice tidy looking red 944's heading towards town! If they're getting that common then maybe I had better buy a Kalahari coloured 944 instead??[:D]

Saw this yesterday on the A61 near Skipton-On-Swale near Thirsk.

Nice looking car, not seen one in this colour before. Had d90's, it was a Turbo and the bridge spoiler was painted the same colour as the body. Did they do Turbo Special Editions?!

I was in the oil burner so no waves were exchanged!

That's Totty who frequents the forum (Paul Tate) notice the number plate, the car is an 89/90 Turbo in Glacier Blue i think, the bridge spoiler is a non standard bridge spoiler, higher and and a slightly different shape.
Nice clean example, i will have to tell him to check out this post [;)]

Absolutely! There was much admiration and the missus was on the camera. I was in a silver BMW 3 series coupe behind until he pulled off and turned around. I was on my way to the Falconry Centre in Kirby Wiske for a Falconry experience day....if you're interested. [:D]

Nice to see someone else from the forum though.

Just had two weeks in Cornwall, based near Truro, and saw a good number of 944s around.

A very sad example with holes in the sills in Lizard and a multi-coloured car, possibly silver with red repairs at Loe beach with a boat/kyak/board on the roof.

A fair number of 911s around too, including a 991 in that brave gold/brown colour.

It seems anyone that comes to Cornwall can spot a 944. I live here and very rarely spot one :'(

It gets quite easy when you are in one, although sadly this wasn't the case this time. I was surprised at quite how many were out and about.

White 944 cab (with the roof down) spotted between Haverhill and Clare. I waved, but was in a BMW 1 series so they probably thought I was mad.

Spent the last week of August there and saw a grand total of maybe 4 Porsches! Didn't spot any other 944s. Hmmmm mine was in Lizard for a couple of days, no holes in sills though looked rather grubby after a week's vacationing in it.

Passed a red H reg S2 on the M27 just before the Hamble exit of the M27 at ~8:30 this morning. I was in the red 944. Did wave but was busy trying to make sure i didn't miss my exit as we were running a bit late.

At the Rugby gyratorry (sp?) on Bilton Road I saw a lovely looking Guards Red F reg S2. It looked stunning.

This one wasn't going anywhere, it was the other side of Ann's Pasties (mmmmm !!!!) and had flat tyres, and when I say hole it was more like the sill missing.

Seen a quite clean looking white 924 shell with bonnet on the back of a truck going somewhere today while I was out working

Hi Tom

Thanks for "Spotting Post" Depending on the time you saw me I was either on my way to a 996 turbo track day at Elvington or heading back to our over night stop at the Golden Fleece in Thirsk. [:D]

Yeah the colour Glacier Metallic is pretty rare, which was one of the main reason I bought her, alloys are also the rare forged club sports, easily confused with the D90's though [;)]

Frenchy is a good friend of mine & he is right it is a 89MY, that's why I think it benefits from the club sport alloys as it will be a run off from the turbo s before 90's spec D90's were rolled out...

Thanks again [:)] [:D]

Not me. "Trigger" is on a G-plate.
