Hi Guys

Sorry - I got dragged away for work to London so did not give any further updates, but it sounds as if you have it sorted [:)]

Pete

How to win friends and influence people! Thanks for spotting and correcting my fish and chips debacle, I tend to do all my posting on my phone so I think I need a bigger screen, when my errors start to mess with another mans food, then I'm in trouble.

Darren, yep, meet you at Blyth services at about 8.45 (give or take)? Assuming that is that we are all still meeting in Rutland around 10?!

Perfect I'll see you there.

Does anyone want to meet up to drive down? I'm between Alfreton and Chesterfield, Derbyshire. Any others coming from Derbyshire or will be follwing the same kind of route? :)

Could be meeting up with Helen with her 924S to drive down, does anyone else want to meet? I believe we've had the "Southern" group meet organised, now lets get the "Northern" group meet together :D

Hey guys -

Firstly, are non-members welcome? To be honest, it's highly likely I'll be joining up this year - I was uncomfortable doing so when so much work was needed on both 944's but I feel this one is nearly up to scratch now to make full use of it ... if you know what I mean!

Secondly I'm a bit of a noob about such things, and would be my first 'meet' if so ... what actually happens at these things apart from scoffing of pub dinners? [:D]

I just look forward to meeting up with like minded 944 fans to swap stories and tips and all that [:)] Plus I actually come from Rutland! (but now in Notts)

Yes this is an "unofficial" event so all are welcome !

Basically we will meet up in the Car Park past the yacht club down at the waters edge at around 10 onwards for a good session of tyre kicking, bonnet opening, photo taking and general 944 chat. Then off to the pub in convoy for a slap up meal. Nothing very sophisticated but was a good day last year so am sure it will be the same this.

This is bad news! My 996 is gone and wuf is still sitting in bits as she was at christmas. Might have to call out an auto electrician with knowledge of stand alone for a day or get the car trailered somewhere to find what these damn painters have done before the meet! I'm not coming on another meet in a non 'P' car

Just to clarify we meet past the Sailing Centre on the North shore, not the Yacht Club which is on the south shore (and wouldn't be happy with us.....)

This is going to be a good day!!

The pub can only cater for 20 of us, there are only 4 places left and I will confirm the booking and menu order's on Wednesday.

This is going to be a good day!!

Indeed! I'm really looking forward to it. Check out the other events on the stickes above: the Cotswold Rally has effectively sold out compared to other years, but numbers have been doubled to 200 for the 50th Anniversary year so you can now get tickets again. Porsche and Polo is another good event, where you can either stand around a group of 944s comparing expansion tank shinyness, or there's loads to do for the rest of the family. [;)]

Mike, have you got a postcode or one of those latitude/longitude reference for the right place to meet? Or directions for the last bit.
