Hi Peter,I havn't  got a bullet cam [:(]

To keep you all entertained in the meantime here is the in car footage from Marks racecar at Silverstone a few weeks ago (being held up by a red GT2)

There was a lot hurting on the car that day, alot to go into on here but the next race she was as smooth as silk, she does eat discs though I could always drive her more gently and make them last longer......Since that outing we have played with the suspension settup and spring rates much better turn in now.

Just got back from Spa race, amazing weekend, high thirtys centigrade apart from of course when we qued up to race....heavens opened....hoofed it down..very scary indeed on dry tyres....managed to get a result though, came first in future classics and first in class, experienced the fantasy of standing on the f1 podium with union jack, national anthem spraying bubbly the whole nine yards..couldn't believe it...[:)]
I love my blue 944[:)]

You're a very smooth driver Mark, love your style in that last clip especially at the start when there were no other cars. That's the visual example of unravelling the bends and making it a straight line. Love the light feel to the car too except the bobbing of the front end? Can that be sorted with the suspension set up or is it part of having the car so stiff and light?

Sounds like its all really paying off too. I'd love to see a scan of that magazine article I missed?

Well firstly that camera is freaking me out. It seems to self level against gravity and locate the horizon. It's like it has self leveling suspension!

Secondly, I want to put Paul's motor in Mark's car to fly past that pesky GT2. It was like he couldn't believe a lowly 944 was pushing him so he wouldn't let you past. Ignoramus!
Also, what tyres are you on there?

Lastly, Mark these cheap Ebay cameras are actually pretty good. The mic's are crap but mount them inside the car. For the money they're amazing value. http://tiny.cc/244zi

Congratulations Mark - I bet you can't really believe all this is happening! [:D] I think you're being very restrained in your "showing off" (I wouldn't be so reticent..) [;)]

btw - I've just ordered 2 of those ebay keyfob cameras - If they arrive in time I hope to try them out at the Silverstone evening. There's a detailed guide to them here http://chucklohr.com/808/

Argos do the Canon normal res memory card camcorder cheaper than anywhere else, I think mine was £150. Sound quality is superb and picture quality in daylight more than good enough for sharing on the net. Can also be used for general videoing as well. Haven't bought a mount just yet but its something I promised myself I would do from day one for self analysis.

What a result! Absolutly fantastic Mark, Id have started a new forum on that sort of a result!
Many congratulations on a fantastic effort.
Mike

Congrats on the result Mark and in-car footage like that and those that Pat posts and others really look great and show these cars in a great light - makes me want to join in too if only I had the time and funds to lavish. Loved the way your dad's GT2 went though. Reminds me of the day I was giving it full beans following a work colleagues 996TT to a trackday at Donnington and he just left me for dead from about 60mph. Mindbending acceleration.

What was the matter with your brakes? Where you just wringing out the last of a pair of disks?
