Wow those wheels are spaced out!

Have they already fitted the GAZ, it looks jolly low if it is still on the original M030?

Id say 'fitted'. Do you see the 60mm hole ahead of the rear wheel? Thats an access hole to allow re-indexing of the rear torsion bars without stripping.

Mark; Id be extremely interested to know how wide the spacers are on the front, and what the offset is of the wheel fitted (and its width).

Thanks guys[:)],yup the GAZ coilovers are fitted and the front will be dropped a fraction more, the wheels are the original fitment forged clubsports(which i love) sporting a new gloss black powdercoat finish with colour matched crests, the spacer kit makes it look a little fat but thats what EMC racecars cars look like from the selection i have seen, there was an S2 in white the other day sitting pretty much as low and fat,i looked at it and hoped mine would look the same..[:)],apparently it is a good way of killing understeer. The hole we decided to go ahead and drill in the sill for adjusting the rear rideheight was posted a while back in a photo,we are looking for a suitable tidy way to bung it up for everyday..
The seats and harnesses are going in shortly plus a couple more jobs to do.Got to say i always steered away from the spacer thing but i really like it with the black wheels.Turbo badge at the back is a bit low..

[8D][8D]Lovely, my favourites after CUP 1`s BUT be careful. I have heard tales of these failing under extereme conditions as they are prone to fatigue cracking with age.

I seen a pic of spokes breaking on the front wheels (the spokes do look thinner on the front wheels),i will just keep an eye on them and examine them on the inside especially if the car has been bouncing on kerbs etc,but i really like them, they suit the car, were free with the car and the tyres are cheaper[:D].Just really like the way these cars drive on sixteen inch wheels aswell.

Mark, deeply envious - looking fantastic.

Amazing how 944s look even better ( ie tougher) with the right lowered stance.

[:)]

The best of your 3 so far Mark - I'm sure when this is finished it will be the 944 I covet most of all the ones in the UK ...until you build your next one

Thanks, glad you like, thing i can't wait to experience is what it feels like lightened of so much,it felt grunty as hell for a standardish car even with all its heavy standard trim, so with less weight it should be good fun and very rigid, its D day either this week coming or begining of week after.....can't wait

Harder and i was more nervous than i thought i would be!The written test second bit had a couple of funnily worded questions that wobbled me... got one wrong[&:]but you are allowed to get two wrong and still go through...the first written section is just flags which is easy enough if you watch the video they supply with the go racing pack. The driving bit made me a bit edgy- it was hoofing it down with rain and i ended up going in my Pug 205(i thought it would be better in the rain) it felt a bit front wheel drive..glad the ards is now out of the way, maybe if i did it in summer and drove a 944 round it would have been more enjoyable. As soon as i got the stamp i left and came home- very slippy.. one Evo had quite a big smack. Now i just need to do the medical(then i can apply for a 2010 novice license) which i am not looking forward too as i am not a big fan of going to the quacks!

Mark,

I was at EMC on Saturday with the intentions of taking some pics of the Orange Fury... but since nothing had changed I took a couple of your car instead. I'll try and get them uploaded.

I LOVE the centre caps.

I've kept hold of my CS D90's as well... they'll go on the road Beetle when that arrives. They're almost as pretty as the 944Turbo fuches we run on the 924CGT ! [:D][;)]
