The Ultimate Insurance Thread??

ORIGINAL: Richard Hamilton

Blimey Mac, that's a bargain.

Another year comes around, and the premium is up, but because of the change in car:

Richard

Thanks for the above - I phoned UA today and they have arranged better cover and saved me £300 on my renewal quote - [:D]

I do like a bargain and been stuck with Privilege for the past 3 years (Porsche and non-Porsche policies) because no other companies were coming close to their quotes. Under 30 with a 996TT in East London isn't the best combo for cheap insurance! However, the only company I rang this year was Academy on the recommendation of Richard, nice simple broker with polite people to help and that they did. Every year I pay around £1400 and Academy shaved this down to £1095 "" excellent! Until the documents arrived and didn't allow me to drive other cars as I am under 30, next best policy they could offer was £1500.

So as much as this company never quotes me less than £2k, I am totally shocked to be insured with Admiral now:

Only company that would ensure me, admiral and elephant close, but I used to have an bmw m3 with Kwickfit and to cancel my policy would have cost £386 so had to stay with them.
Use money supermarket, because go compare and confused MILES away!
