Welcome back Tony [:D]

I bet Tim has started working backwards up his list. I was one of the last to order []

(GURU and SFR are both excellent - but many have experienced considerable delivery delays and being supplied the wrong items etc.)

How does 10 month wait from Danno sound ?? I must be the current record holder [:D][:D][:D]

Hi Rick,

What have you been waiting for? a MAP kit by any chance? Danno cetainly can be a little slow - I have had to wait 8 weeks for dealer orders - but 10 months!!!

Regards,
Andrew
MAP 2 kit. But not to worry, it's coming this week. And last week. And the week before that. AND the week before that .....

Ah yes, but it is on its way now. I'm sure that someone said it left last week, or was that the week before, or the week before that. Pushbike is a very ecconomic method of delivery after all.

edited to try to correct some of my spellling.

Paul do you recon the DV30 is worth getting?

Not sure really. I have the 993 TT dump valve which has metal internals so it should be more up to the job than the standard plastic one.

Hi All,

However, price will include delivery and UK warranty. You guys got a good deal - but you may get a big FedEx bill for clearance, duty and VAT (FedEx always send it on account a few weeks later). Be interested to know what this is. How much was your ship charge to the UK?

Regards,
Andrew

Delivery was $75.00, Fedex bill just arrived this morning and is £45.00. Making the total cost for me £256.00. still a good bargain I think ( especially as I have my original to sell) and very desirable if the number of people drooling over it at Sundays Red Lion meet was anything to go by :) (It's not fitted yet, I just took it with me to show off)

Leigh Cromwell is also looking to buy a standard wastegate for anyone that wants to sell the original one, how much are they worth second hand?

Tim.

Shame you had to pay the extra. I hope its worth the money as it soon adds up. I look forward to getting mine some time thius year [8|]

Given that a new wastgate from Porsche is about £1200, if its in good nick then it must be worth £150-200

Cheers Tim I've sent him an email

I was fully expecting an import bill from Fedex (but I did get my hopes up when it was delivered without one [:D] )

Mines arrived [:)]

But the box was opened by customs so I have every confidence I will be getting a bill. [].

I still can't make up my mind on a manual boost controller or not though. Not that I can see it finding its way on to the car for a few weeks yet though.

Hurrah [:D] Get those spanners out John

I've been running mine with no problems in single port mode to the side port using the Reliaboost, but I must admit I keep wondering if I would get better results in dual port mode using one of Andrews MBC manual knobs. Maybe if someone has one at the Dyno day I could do two runs before making up my mind [&:]

There is a nice manual boost controller in the Demon tweeks catalogue - under £30 IIRC - I looked before and couldn't see it on the online site - i will check again later,
Tony
(still waiting for Tial - and not had time yet to fit my nice 968 MO30 ARB's either)

Cant really see the point in being able to alter the boost, if you turn it down too much then surely you will be running too rich at WOT?

I thought to alter boost properly you really have to have a way of altering the fuel map hence the APEXI (or whatever they are called)

Yes, thought similar, but in very cold dense air will we require a different setting to warm air. I have reliaboost which is more akward to adjust than accuboost. Finaly they allow you to use both ports.
